East Canyon State Park
Camp like a pioneer in this historic and scenic Utah state park.
Surround yourself with a pioneer vibe in the mountains of Northeastern Utah. See part of the Mormon Pioneer Trail just a short drive from the reservoir.
There, you can imagine a line of Conestoga wagons trekking through untamed wilderness. Return to the lake for fun on the water after the short history lesson.
Launch your boat for a fun day of fishing, water skiing, swimming, or sunbathing. Rent a ski boat or pontoon if you don't have your own. Summer months can get crowded because of the popularity of the lake. Come here in early fall after the crowds dissipate a bit. It's still warm and you can have a bit more seclusion.
Remember, you're in a canyon and mountains. Hike to some of the nearby peaks for beautiful views of the valley below. Think of the fun you'll have in winter on your cross country skis or snow
