With spacious sites and plenty of shade, Martin’s Landing Campground is an excellent choice on the east side of Lake Murray. The camp hosts are friendly folk, and they run a tight shift when it comes to restroom and shower cleanliness. A Sunday night stay before shipping off to work may be just what you need to actually enjoy your Monday morning.
On the northwest end of Lake Murray, you’ll find Duke’s Forest Campground. This is a low-key spot featuring a public ball field that’s perfect for group outings and overnight gatherings. Marietta Landing Campground isn’t just the tip (of Lake Murray), it’s a beautiful heavily wooded area that’ll make you feel like you did camping right. Amenities include a newly renovated playground for the kids. While there is no swim beach here, it’s great for both anglers and divers looking for lake access.
Named for its historic stone water tower, Rock Tower Campground is a choice spot for a little more privacy with your sweetheart. It’s located on the east end on Lake Murray and features spacious sites with mature trees in between. We say it’s a fine place to pop the question (but maybe not THAT question).

A gated camping option on the west side of Lake Murray, Tipp’s Point Campground is a rare breed in that it’s the closest campground at Lake Murray to an air strip (fly-in camping, anyone?), and right next the Lake Murray golf course. If Richard Branson was swinging through the area, this is most definitely where he would stay.
Located on the west end of Lake Murray, Ski Jump Campground doesn’t have the amenities of other campgrounds in the area, but is still well within reach of the action.
