Please be aware there is river noise during our busy times on weekends so may not suit those looking for tranquility on weekends. We are 1.2 km from the township of Wisemans Ferry along River Road. There are powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers set in a rustic location. Amenities include hot showers, laundry, on-site kiosk and boat ramp access (fee applicable). BBQ and covered picnic area. Dogs are welcome on leash. Firewood is available for purchase on-site.

Garbage removal is for general rubbish Only if your chair breaks ,your air bed springs a leak,  or your tent has seen better days , etc Do Not Leave it behind Onsite, please take it home with you.

We spent a few days camping right on the river at Wisemans Ferry and honestly, it was everything we needed and more. The location is pure magic – waking up to calm blue water, mist curling over the hills, and the sound of birds instead of traffic? Priceless. The riverfront spot was perfect – easy access for swimming, fishing, or just sitting on the bank with a coffee watching the water drift by. The water was clear and cool, great for a dip on warm days, and the sunsets over the Hawkesbury were absolutely stunning – colours across the water that photos just can’t do justice. Everything felt so peaceful and unhurried. The area is clean, well-kept, and surrounded by gorgeous NSW bushland that feels like a proper escape without being too far from Newcastle/Sydney. Whether we were relaxing by the tent, cooking up dinner under the stars, or taking a slow walk along the riverbank, every moment felt relaxed and welcoming. If you’re chasing a quiet, beautiful riverside camping spot with plenty of space, great views, and that perfect out-of-town vibe.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. They advertised Wi-Fi, but there wasn’t any at all. The BBQ equipment looked like it came with a free tetanus shot—it was covered in rust, dirt, and spider webs. The chairs looked like they were picked up from a landfill, filthy and stained. The tables were covered in dust everywhere. I’d also recommend leaving as soon as checkout starts at 10:00 a.m., otherwise the staff will charge you an extra $12 per person.

We had such a wonderful stay and couldn't recommend this place more highly. As our very first winter camping trip, it exceeded all of our expectations! We were lucky enough to have a beautiful waterfront site with power access, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Waking up to such a peaceful view was truly special. The hosts were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. The campsite and amenities were clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind. It was also great that our friends were able to come and visit us for a few hours by paying the day visitor fee, which made our camping trip even more enjoyable. A special mention to the hot chips—they were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! Thank you for making our first winter camping experience so memorable. We truly appreciated your hospitality and we'll definitely come back.

The powered site was excellent. Spacious and the view of the sunset was beautiful. We went during the winter school break, not crowded at all. Water supply is just next to the picnic table, it's very convenience. Definitely will come back again!!

We had a great experience as always. The new management/owner, Nicole are very welcoming specially her daughters at the store, always smiling and you’ll feel that they are happy to have you as their guest. I have recommended this place to our friends and they loved it. Will surely come back anytime soon.

We tried to move the dates due to poor weather however was told that this was not possible and that we would lose the full amount of the booking. That's fair enough however we don’t recall seeing that stipulated on their page. Perhaps would have been nice to move the date.

Our families had a wonderful weekend here. The location is super convenient, the facilities are well-equipped, and the bathrooms are very clean. More importantly, the host, Nichole, was incredibly helpful and welcoming.

General site and amenities are good. Some sites are better than others. Opt for a grassed site if you can. Our dusty dirt site was fine and private, but a grassed site would have made our stay a 1000 times better. Our doggos and toddler loved it.

Me and my son (6) had a great couple of nights here camping, finishing and searching for wildlife, we went on the last couple of days school holiday so it was very quiet but the campsite was very clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying again

The site provides shelter so no need to bring gazebo. It’s so easy to camp at this site along the river and there’s lots of things to do. We brought a 4 month bay with us and the whole experience was extremely easy. Will definitely come back with our little fellow

Our site had a small window view of water which was pleasing from our tent site. The surrounding area of Wiseman's Ferry is very scenic and it was lovely to see morning mist on the river at this location. Owls, other birds and possums were also to be seen and/or heard; our neighbour camper even sited a bilby. On site cafe is available six days a week.

Peaceful and calm campsite this season. And the bathroom was tidy and clean. Hot shower was available too. If you need, they have ice and some snacks in the store. Private firepit each site was perfect :)

We had an amazing 4 nights there. The campsite was right on the river, which was beautiful morning and evening. The amenities were always clean, showers hot and well maintained. The powered blocks ( where we stayed) are a good size and you have decent privacy even with neighbours. We’ll be back.
