We moved here in 1997 The home has had major remodels done on it. The lake is an old gravel pit to make road base for local road construction. The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June. We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja. Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests. But in an emergence please call, cell service works fine. port-a potty is gone for the winter November-April. port-a potty is clean and works great, May- Oct. If you are here in the winter you may use the trees or Mavericks gas station in 1.5 miles away. The first two pets are included at no additional cost. Easy walking distance to the Crested Butte Center for the Arts, Alpenglow (Mondays), Music on the Mountain (Wednesdays), Public House, wedding venues and other music venues, bars and nightlife. 1/2 a block from the Slate River and paddleboarding put-in. 1 block from Rainbow Park and playgrounds, soccer fields, etc. 2 blocks from the public/ski bus. Reliable high speed internet. This is a relatively small, site in town, not a spacious farm/acreage type of site or a campground. Crested Butte has a lot of dispersed camping available so this is ideal for vans and campers with a bathroom who want to camp within town limits and be able to walk everywhere.

Stayed here in early December and it is such a great spot! Nice sunset viewing, easy access to the sites, quiet, and it's a rare Colorado location near water. Mike stopped by to chat and is a very accommodating host. I would highly recommend visiting this campsite, especially in the warmer months.

We got moved to RV spot #1 from our original spot a few days before our stay which wasn't an issue. The lake was beautiful and clean, and we were well stocked on wood. We didnt have any neighbors so it was nice and quiet with little sound from distant traffic.

I had a great time camping at double D Farms Dirk is a really nice guy and it’s beautiful there absolutely beautiful sorry for the delay on the review. Campsite was very clean with an outhouse that you’re available to use. I also got electricity and freshwater great price for those amenities. I plan on camping there again.

Weekend Trip to Camp Eddy

This is a great spot on the river, near bike paths and downtown. There were beautiful views and great amenities. Honestly, we caught a great rate for a nightly stay. We would have stayed longer, but the weekly rate was a bit spendy.

Beautiful view of the lake. Mike was attentive and responsive as well. There was some good birding in the morning, too! There is some road noise at the lake but not too loud.

Weekend Trip to Zenzen Gardens

We had an absolute blast with Cindie! the yurts were so nice, Cindie was so attentive and always had great reccs for what to do/eat in town. The wine tasting was stellar. Zen Zen gardens is a paonia gem and we hope this becomes a landmark for the community. By far the most fun we’ve had in a while

We enjoyed ZenZen Gardens so much that we stayed two extra nights! Lovely garden and spectacular scenery. We enjoyed sipping wine from the terrace in the afternoons. Comfy and very clean. We definitely hope to return!

Weekend Trip to Delta Hobby Farm

It's been wonderful staying here in this property. The owners are very nice people and the property very peaceful. It's surrounded by small farm lands you can bike around and take pictures of different crops. The property has chickens, goats, and a horse. Their outside shower and bathroom are super nice.

We had a great stay here! The hosts were so kind and were so helpful! The bathrooms were clean and it was such a fun spot with all the farm animals around! If you’re a very light sleeper the chickens in the morning could be a little loud but other than that it was so great!

I thoroughly enjoyed camping on this land!! Very quiet, the two farm dogs are beautiful and friendly. I also greatly appreciated the clean bathroom facilities. Lovely space, I’d love to return!!

It was pretty close to perfect experience. The bathrooms and showers were clean, heated and private. The tent sites were flat. The location was about a 30 minute drive to Ouray, CO and Black Canyon Gunnison. The location was also 8 minutes to downtown Montrose which had every store you would want. The host Audrey was friendly. The cost was reasonable.
