Family friendly! Lots of desirable camp sites wheel chair access easy to pull up to. Great fire places ( if there's not a ban) great views. Open walking paths all over! Very private. Amazing wild life. Warning there will be wild life. Strict leave no trace. This land has been passed down in the family. And it's very special to a lot of the family's friends. We have kept up on the land and keeping it clean and basic for whenever we want to enjoy nature quietly, alone, safe. Winter camping welcomed. Camp sites might be a little harder then the cabin. But back county skiing is amazing around this area!

The directions were pretty easy to follow. The first campsite was taken so we drove further into the woods and came across the other two. They were far enough away that we didn’t hear anyone from the first campsite. The area is super secluded, and there’s rocks to climb up for a terrific view. However, it appeared as more of a party area then a family site. There was glass all over the site we pulled into. It looked like whoever was there before us broke every finished beer/liquor bottle on the ground. I tried to clean it up as we had our 1 year old with us, but it was impossible! We would have just moved to the other site but it was covered in shell casings (along with the two shot up metal objects they were using as a target).
Secluded, private camping spot
This is a NICE secluded spot about 10 min. outside Nederland. Perfect camping spot for just hanging out, relaxing and enjoying yourself without anyone else around. (seriously, we never saw another person while there except for the host) If you want to go hiking, biking etc, you will have to drive out to near by trails as there is nothing directly off the campsite. The site itself is clean, has a fire ring and trees for hammocks. Cole was quick to respond and easy going. We had a great experience.
The camp site was very clean and felt very remote. We enjoyed our stay there. Cole texted us asking if we needed help finding the the location. I would recommend going through Nederland if you follow the GPS up there. We sort of took the back way in and the roads were really rough, but it was fairly easy to find once we made it through. I would recommend this site to anyone who loves the remote feeling, also the views were amazing.
Greatest place to camp
Amazing!!! The site was a little hard to fine but so worth it when we did! It was secluded and private, shady and at night so quiet and dark enough to see some amazing starry skies. Plenty of space and places to walk around near camp. Absolutely loves it!
Camp Wilder is absolutely beautiful. The site is tucked away from the road and very private the kids and dogs had a blast as did the adults!! The site was well maintained amd the perfect set up There is no picnic table so bring a table if you are cooking! Definitely want to go back!
Great place to stay!
Cole was a very helpful, gracious and available host which I greatly appreciated. I would recommend having a vehicle that is higher off the ground, trucks or jeeps were doing just fine. The campsite itself was large, well kept and had a lovely fire pit. Plenty of trees around to string a hammock. We had one large tent and two small tents and there was still plenty of room. The wildflowers everywhere were magical, and made for a fun activity to keep the kids busy. I did order the firewood and it was not there on arrival, searching the woods for dead trees proved very effective and Cole gave me a refund promptly for the wood when I contacted him about it. Overall, great place to stay and feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, while also being 15 minutes from town!
