Erik's Swedish parents Ulf and Petsy Kahn purchased the Ranch in 1969, raising horses and cattle (200 head at one time). They rode the trails, tended the cows, and had great times fishing, swimming and camping. Campers can enjoy Kayaking, Horseback Riding ...and Swimming at our beautiful riverside location! Camp by river with tent, trailor or RV, RV "Boondockers" are welcome. Tour the beautiful Lewis river valley by horse back and ride into town for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Perfect first experience with horses for the kids, Erik is great with the little ones and makes sure everyone is comfortable and has a wonderful time. Kayakers and Paddleboarders will love the location, camping right on the 32 mile John Pollack water trail. The Quaint town of La Center can be your destination, an easy paddle, about four miles of natural wetlands and wildlife along the way. Visit The new IIani Casino 15 minutes away, offering entertainment and five star restaurants. We are really excited to share some of the most beautiful areas by creating a few private campsites overlooking the river. We want it to be everything the crowded campgrounds are not!

Camp 1 is on East end if Camp....spacious with plenty of room for multiple tents in large flat grassy area, or below near river. It feels private, is beautiful ,and works well to book with camp 2 for family and friend groups. It also has the iconic and ever popular rope swing for the brave at heart. IMPORTANT NOTES : Please be aware camps are located on a bluff above river (drop varies between 1 ft and 10 ft depending on time of year) that abruptly drops off. Tents may be set up higher up on bank if this is a concern. Although the settings are beautiful, children and dogs in particular , must be monitored near edge.

Beautiful views right on the river, small access to water right in camp via a knotted rope...kids and dogs appreciate. 2 small tents can be set below near campfire area, larger tent or camper/rv on grassy flat space just above. Site 2 has at least 2 areas up top for tents..large or small or room for one RV. Perfect balance of Sun and Shade. A firepit, 2 'Andirondack' chairs, bistro table and chairs...and wooden picnic table complete your Camp. A great choice for small or larger groups ,if combined with camp 1. Adjacent to dock , well water, and porto-pots...but not TOO close. A beautiful, camp right over the River. Camp 3 is adjacent to the dock and swimming area, yet very private. This site is a bit more intimate, best for 2 to 4 people. Shade and sun are in good balance... and Porto-pots are across the way, not too far. It has one spot for a small tent below near river...and space above for a tent or trailer. It does not have as much potential parking as the other sites however. Important notes: Please be aware camps are located on a bluff above river (drop varies between 1 ft and 10 ft depending on time of year) that abruptly drops off. Camp 5 ...the most spacious of all. Big open space on the West end of the campground, yet with plenty of privacy. Sandy slope to the river and knotted rope to help kids and agile folks down to water. Popular Turtle sunbathing spot.... Especially great for larger groups and Canine friends. Huge shade trees and lots of sun create the perfect balance. We had such an amazing time!!! Absolutely beautiful area, water access, porta potty’s were super clean! We got to go visit with horses and enjoy the swings and kayaks. Super close to town but also secluded enough to make you feel like you’re far out. The hosts were very kind and communicative Could not recommend this place more. We will be coming back year after year:)

The space is gorgeous! I love how even though each site is right next to each other, they’ve made sure to have privacy barriers in between. The porta potties were the cleanest I’ve ever seen. The owners was very kind, checking in and answering any questions before, during and after. My friends and I plan to come back again!

What a wonderful place to camp. The campsite was huge and private. The host provided 2 tables and 4 adirondack chairs and added beautiful flower bouquets. The views of the river from the campsite are gorgeous and the setting is very serene. We paddleboarded floated and swam from the dock. I highly recommend Bar IK and can't wait to go back❤️

This is a wonderful riverfront site. A bit of easy dirt and gravel road deposits you at a very quiet and secluded camp spot. 5 sites are well spaced apart.

This is the second year we have rented all 5 sites for a group camping trip with 10 middle school families. It's perfect for this type of trip. The river is super mellow, the rope swing is great fun for the kids, and the campground is lovely.

We read the reviews before we went and we’re pretty sure everyone nailed it - Heaven on Earth. So still and calm. The port-a-potties were well maintained - every time I used it I was surprised how nice it smelled! Have you ever heard that before? Closest to glamping I ever want to get. Such great family time and Michelle and Eric were both incredibly hospitable. We had a small unexpected incident, but they made it right and I appreciated their concern and integrity. We have no doubt we’ll be going back again, and again.

The experience was not very good for us. The off leash dogs barked loudly at us and guarded the outhouses. We rented site #4. The ground is so uneven it was tiring, with no steps or anything to get down to the fire pit level. There are 2-3” ruts surrounding the fire pit that made walking around it dangerous, I actually fell in the fire once, but didn’t get to burnt. I wouldn’t recommend this site to anyone. The owner was nice but we only saw her once over the 4 days we were there. FYI- There are no grocery stores in town, there are lots of mosquitos & Yellow Jackets that love cooking with you.

We had a large group of adults, teens, elementary aged kids, and two dogs. We all loved being right next to the river. We had fun kayaking, fishing, swimming, using the rope swing, and playing on the swing. There was enough grassy area for the kids to play soccer, tag, hide and go seek, and have a water fight. Michelle and Erik were quick to respond to our questions and very helpful in providing other activities close by. We’ll be booking again.

Michelle and Erik’s property is lovely! All the spots are on a peaceful river, perfect for swimming and paddling and sunning. Spot 4 is shady, with a lovely fire ring right on the bank of the river. Would stay at Bar UK again in a heartbeat!

The place is wonderful, spacious, and very clean. The hosts are exceptionally attentive, incredibly kind and friendly. We were able to buy firewood there, and the bathrooms were spotless. We brought kayaks but didn't use them since there were kayaks available for public use. It felt so peaceful. We also took advantage of the family horseback riding, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Without a doubt, it's a place to return to and highly recommend.

Camping on Michelle and Erik’s property was amazing! Michelle was so attentive whenever we needed anything and made sure to check in to make sure we had what we needed. Erik was fantastic for helping us arrange a lovely riding adventure. Overall it was so beautiful and well kept we all were very happy to be there. Make sure to take a kayak down the river if you get a chance, the wildlife was incredible!

This is our 2nd summer here, we just love it. We come in a big group and spread out, tons of room for the kids to roam and play. Michelle is super accomodating, let me check in early and gave us directions to walking trails. We'll be back again next year!

This place is a sanctuary for bird lovers and wildlife ! Michelle was so nice and an amazing hostees ! Great for floating around the river and seeing turtles, deer, rabbits and many birds. Waking to the sounds of them chirping at 5 am was actually refreshing ! A great place for families. Not so sure about really young lads because of high drop offs & only way to access river is a steep floating staircase and dock. Definitely a camping destination and next time we are horseback riding. Just call them to schedule your ride while you stay !! Happy Camping 🏕☺️

Another great time at this amazing campground. The weather was not the best - too cold to go swimming which we did all of our last visit - but still so beautiful and peaceful. Michelle is the best to communicate with for everything. Will be back again next year!

This was a beautiful and well managed site! The river was lovely and the site was spacious. We had a few small children with us, and knew going into it that there was a steep drop into the water from our site. The dock going down to the water is a bit nerve wracking with the littles but we made it work and enjoyed the provided kayaks for getting them across the river to the sandy area. There were provided life jackets but make sure to bring if your kids are under 30lbs! We also want to give a PSA if you come over 4th of July in the future - there are A LOT of fireworks surrounding you and nearby. Could be fun viewing but for our dogs and little kids it was a lot. Perhaps bring headphones and a loud sound machine. Otherwise we loved our stay!

Not What We Expected At All

We arrived on the site expecting from the pictures to have a more private, sectioned off zone to camp in. We were disappointed to see that the tents for all of the campsites are set up in an open field, in rows, with basically no privacy at all. I don’t believe that the hosts were misleading intentionally, but we expected something completely different than what we saw when we got there. Just know before you book that you will be able to see your neighbors getting in and out of their tent and you can expect the same. It’s basically a community campsite. We were also fairly surprised that when we voiced this concern right away on the day that we arrived, we asked if it would be possible to get a refund of any kind, and we were met with defensiveness and hostility, which was disappointing. I think that the advertising for the property should paint a clearer picture about how private everything truly is. If for nothing else but the host response, I would never come back to this site, but the lack of privacy definitely isn’t for me either. Understand this before you book.
