Will E.doesn't recommend this listing.
We were double booked for this due to some scheduling glitch. Because of this, we were offered a different âceremonialâ tipi. We wanted the tipi experience so we kept our reservation. Turns out that the ceremonial tipi doesnât have a door so I had to make one.
The strangest thing about this place was the karaoke that took place until 10:00 pm. I do not believe this was listed in the hipcamp listing, so it was a bit of a surprise when our tipi was 40 feet away from blaring speakers of poorly DJâd Karaoke. âGirls donât always wanna have funâ. While traveling with a 7 year old, we were ready for bed at 9pm, but had to wait for the singing to be done. The place has potential. It was busy as could be. The tipis are really cool. The host seemed like he had too much to do to keep up with demands of requests for wood and new campers showing up. If there were more staff, no karaoke, and a little more clear communication, our stay would have been much more enjoyable.

Will E.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
This was an okay place to pitch a tent - close to arches and downtown Moab, with a hot shower to boot. We arrived in the early evening and found someone to show us to our site. The bathroom is not well cleaned, but I donât know that I expected that. The main issue is that check in information was not clear- it worked for us because we could find someone. The issue was that someone tried to check into the other site at 11:30pm. We were fast asleep when it was clear that they didnât know where to go and they basically drove right past our tent, waking us up. They proceeded to walk around with flashlights trying to find the other site. I texted host because it was unclear if they were going to try and pitch a tent next to ours or what have you. Had check in instructions been more clear, they could have likely found their site without driving into ours.
The shower was hot. The toilet flushed. Our nights rest was not great. The horses are sweet and made up for most other things. The hosts were kind and VERY easy going. Firewood was provided. So I canât complain too much.
Will hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
