We had a great time staying the night on the Green River at Lazy J Farms. The campsite was very well kept, the fire pit was great, and the small touches like the wooden swing and fly traps are also nice additions that you might not expect. James offered us some homegrown vegetables he had that were ripe and also offered us fresh eggs as well. The river was basically at flood stage so we couldn’t really access it like we would have liked, but it was pretty nice just having it in the background. All in all we had a good time for sure.
When we arrived we were greeted by Patti, her husband, and three dogs. We were able to check out all three spots since we were the only campers that night. All three are slightly different, but 3 was the site we ended up going with. If you’re used to primitive camping the slight drop to the small waterfall won’t be any issue. We brought our dog because he pretty much goes everywhere with us. He got along great with the other dogs, but if you have a dog that is territorial then you might want to mention this before you go. All in all I give it 5 stars. We’ll definitely be back and hope to get a chance to check out more of the farm next time.
