(Dispersed site)
It was exactly what we wanted and way more than we expected. We chose this location because it was on the Paul Bunyan rails to trail and centrally located on the trail. We camped in our 20 foot travel trailer and squeezed it into the site. Our plan was to use this camp for our base to explore parts of the trail for a day. We biked about 48 miles on the trail in our one day adventure. For all the rails to trails summer bikers and hikers this midway location provides many options for your trail adventures.
This little camping area is the epitome of off grid classic Minnesota north woods camping. Itâs an eclectic collection of items assembled for a second or third life as a camping site. Combined with the two other families camping there, a number of options were showcased. We were off grid and self contained boondocking. One family had small children and took full advantage of the cabin as their base of operations for a weekend of fishing and hiking. Another family was camping overnight in tents as part of there family trip into northern MN.
It is very apparent Chris loves the Minnesota north woods camping life and he wants to make this experience available to everyone. Entering into the camp a person notices quickly all the little things provided to make the experience complete. There are smaller solar lights placed around the camp site that create a warm glow in a way that provides some lite where it is needed and simultaneously adds ambiance to the setting. Piles of kindling, bbq gills, a gas operated coffee maker, axes, fire wood, cooking tools, poison ivy, and many more items are provided to enhance your stay.
Chris has great customer service skills and a true passion for sharing this long standing traditional north woods simple lifestyle.
