Read more...Kaiwiki is a rural neighborhood carved from old sugar cane fields on the slopes of Mauna Kea. Nearby you can peruse the shops and enjoy the restaurants of downtown Hilo. Driving for 15 minutes to an hour you can find everything from Honolii Beach to Volcano National Park, Rainbow Falls, Botanical World, Ziplines and ATV tours, and even the summit of Mauna Kea.
