in Deer Spring, OhioOur host Kevin was awesome! He gave us wonderful directions to drive directly to our campsite. After setting up camp, we walked our dogs down to his house to meet. He gave us a tour of his property and gave us some background information about the farm and his family. He is an amazing artist and showed us some his chainsaw carvings. He uses trees right from the property and makes huge whimsical sculptures. The site was very secluded and peaceful. We chose to set up our tent on a hill and even though it was hot, we were well shaded and felt a breeze the whole time. There are beautiful rolling Meadows everywhere you look and the landscape is dotted with wildflowers and butterflies. There are many mowed areas to take a stroll and if you need something from town it is only a few minutes away.

(Site F)
This place is about 30 minutes from Cleveland and makes a wonderful quick getaway. We stayed at site #7 on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. It was very quiet and we almost had the place to ourselves. Carol met us at the entrance to give us the lowdown on the property. She is very sweet and accommodating and brought our firewood directly to our site so we didn't have to carry it. It was helpful to have a wagon to transport our gear from the parking area as #7 is a walk with hills. There is a mowed path to make it easier. The toilets are located near the parking area and are some of the cleanest I've seen. There is also a covered area with electricity to charge your phone. The site itself is kind of in a valley on the edge of a tiny creek. It received morning sun a good bit of afternoon shade. There was a nice area for our big tent and a sweet spot for the hammock. I enjoyed waking up each morning surrounded by Christmas trees. This is the perfect place for quiet camping with super clean facilities and helpful hosts.
