Sanctuary Under the Starlit Mt. Sky
in Sanctuary in the sky, ColoradoGorgeous views
Campsite was mostly flat spot of a sloped ridge overlooking a river valley on three sides. You can hear the N fork of the S Platte River roaring down in the valley. About 75 yard trek across a hill from parking site to campsite. One other couple was camping there but pretty far away across a gully. Met the owner, Christian, who was very nice and knowledgeable. His dog Lincoln is an enormous Great Dane and also very friendly. We hiked down towards the river but it seemed a little tougher than we were ready for, but spectacular views, truly alpine feel. One of the prettiest campsites weâve ever seen, would definitely go back again!
