This was an awesome experience! My husband and I love to primitive camp! But this year was a little different, we wanted to on our anniversary and have a little less hassel. Cate was so sweet! She provided everything you can think to need. There is a full size bed (that is SO comfortable!), with four normal size pillows and two smaller decorative pillows, sheets cover as well as two fuzzy blankets, night stands on each side of the bed (with dimmable lanterns, water bottles, soap, shampoo, and Kleenex), a coat hanger, a storage shelf (all basic utensils, skewers, two cutting boards, 4 large plastic cups, 4 coffee cups, coffee maker-outdoor, hard plates, paper plates, hard bowls, paper bowls, napkins, medium size pot, large pan, a bucket for washing dishes; including dish soap, sponge, and dish drying towel, two bathing towels, and two hand towels!). She also has laminate on the bottom of the tent as well as rugs! There is extra storage room under the bed as well! Outside was amazing and perfect! Two foldable chairs, round table, picnic table, gas grill, firepit with metal hanger for grilling over top, hammock right on the creek, fire starters, rug outside of tent for dirty feet, ax, lighter, and even a porta-potty; she said soon will have a flushing outhouse). This is very private! Their house is above the hill but you cannot hear or see anything. The campsite is at the end of a long dirt road, so no other way in and out. Trails for hiking, walk up the creek for great swimming holes and waterfall! The campsite is right on the creek so you can enjoy the sound while falling asleep. There is also a large canopy over top of the tent that is extended so you have a "front porch"! Which is great because you're in Mt Mitchell and rain will come and go. It stormed twice pretty bad but felt very safe. We will definitely return and encourage anyone to visit this beautiful little Oasis. Thank you so much Cate for your kindness and well kept campsite! We cannot wait to return!
