I came to Mount Desert Island and immediately fell in love with Balsam Way. I loved the way it felt traveling down 102A like I was going to the end of the earth. In the summer when the rest of the Island is hot, a mist rolls in and blankets everything in a cool white cloud. This is why I named the property Myst Haven. Wonderland and Ships Harbor Nature trail are nearby and I feel so lucky to be able to experience this natural beauty on a daily basis. The Bass Harbor Lighthouse is the only lighthouse on the island and is on 102A as well.  Stay on the quiet side when Bar Harbor is packed with people.
