Intro: I just joined HipCamp to find unique and fun places to stay with my wife and our dog. We are planning our Honeymoon road trip across the USA and are stoked to see more of the country.

Camp - Airstream Among the Vines
in Unplug & Step Back To 1964, CaliforniaThe Airstream is located on a vineyard very privately set behind a very beautiful home with a sunset that in itself is worth staying here. That said, I would only recommend this for the reason of having a very private experience with a glorious sunset for romantic evenings which end once the sun goes down. The location of the airstream is about an hour away from most things (Monterey and Santa Cruz) you'd want to see while in this area of California.
The airstream itself is beautiful on the outside and extremely outdated on the inside. There was definitely effort for cleanliness however, the style of the home was just very much like your grandmother selected the blankets and scent of the place. We simply opened all of the windows starting at 6pm and left them open until going to bed in order to remove the mustiness and lower the insanely hot temperature of the inside of the airstream.
The trash can was full upon arrival which annoying because their are ants in the airstream so we could not leave anything in the garbage even for 5 minutes. The beds are decently comfortable and the host was great.
Overall for the price is not worth it at the moment but could be if the host updated basic things like blankets or even put an AC in the airstream. I understand that this is a "glamping" experience and definitely left the place better than it was when we got there but it's simply too high of a price as is.
