Magical Camping In a Small Campsite
in Mount Baker Farm & Campground, WashingtonThe first word that comes to mind is, Magical. This property of 80 acres was so quaint, and full of character. You see these great little old-timey signs all over the property. They're pretty fun to discover, especially around the train station, yes, I said train station. There's a brilliant antique train that traverses the property, actually, it goes more in a loop. The owners absolutely love this train (built by the previous owner) and they will pick you up at 10am, 2pm and 7pm and can drop you off at your designated campsite. It's absolutely wonderful and such a unique experience. My boyfriend is obsessed with trains so we tried to ride it every day we were there. There's also a little coral of critters, including some goats, two donkeys and some chicks. All were super friendly and happy for some pats. The nice thing too, about the camping area was that no cars were allowed. When u drive on the property, you check in, then park your car in the back parking lot. This was great for safety and for peace and quiet and nice fresh clean air. We ended up getting one of the lotus tent packages, which was great since we just flew in for a few days. We didn't want to bring all our camping gear with us. They offer an ample variety of tent packages to suite every ones needs. We were always met with such happy and enthusiastic hosts. These ladies absolutely adore their campsite and always want to make sure you are enjoying yourself and have everything you need. Last minute we found out our ride back to Seattle airport was leaving a day earlier than we were, so Cheryl, camp host and owner, did every thing in her power to make sure we could find our way back. She ultimately came up with the idea to rent a Uhaul van, since the shuttle we needed was full and Enterprise didn't have any more one way compact vehicles for us. This worked out perfectly and we made it to our flight with an hour to spare. We can't wait to return and stay with Cheryl and Barb! We had the most incredible stay with them! Definitely an 11 out of 10 :D

Kristi hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
