Arcosanti
in Arcosanti, ArizonaUniquely beautiful!
I was truly inspired staying at Arcosanti. I recommend staying at least two nights to take it all in. The camping ground was stunning and the structures and landscape of the âtownâ are one of a kind: pulp sci fi utopia meets groovy artists commune. The residents were friendly and welcoming.
I didnât get a chance to do the Visitorâs trail hike or walk in the sculpture garden, and the cafĂŠ was closed for renovations at the time of my visit, however I did the tour and it was wonderful. The guide, Dany, was so knowledgeable about the theory and history of the site and the bronze pour we witnessed was very impressive.
This place is not to be missed, especially if you are interested in architecture, passive solar and sustainable design, urban planning, ceramics, sculpture, art- any type of artist or musician would be energized by this space. The amphitheater and âvaultsâ were jaw dropping (and highly instagrammable if youâre into that).
Iâm beyond grateful to Pete and the whole team for having me! I will absolutely be back.
