Hay Field - Site 3
in Lower Sherwood Farm, VirginiaThe short 20 minute drive from Charlottesville was so picturesque. Passing several vineyards and an apple orchid.. They all had tastings and peaceful views of old american rolling hill farmland. Very unique and stunning landscape. Then we got to Llama Paradise. We drove past the Big brown open barn[where we suppose to wait for our hosts!!!]. The farm is beautiful. The Llamas and horses were so well cared for they seem to leap about at sight of humans. Ours hosts felt like old family. They were very warm and made sure we had everything we wanted/needed. The campsite was very private, very little light pollution. We saw the Milky way. The farm was so quiet. But for the frog croaks and bird songs. The bathroom and open barn made everything smooth and easy. If you are looking to escape the busy circuit board of fast modern life this is the place. {bug spray/long pants at night} little gnats, not mosquito. They were not brutal, but abundant after dark.
