Oregon Desert Stars
in Rabbit Dance Ranch, OregonWhat an amazingly friendly and helpful host! We had a big rented RV and it sand two feet into the desert sand. AAA said that they didn't cover this area. But Carissa asked some neighbors to come by and they pulled us out. It turned a near disaster into one of the best memories of our trip.
Christmas Valley is remote, but if you want to go somewhere "off the grid" it's a fascinating experience. Our fairly comprehensive Oregon guidebook did not even mention this part of the state! You can see almost nothing but desert grass and sand as far as you look in every direction. Google has done a minimal job of keeping track of the roads in this area, so be sure to use Clarissa's directions.
Past trip
in Crown Cattle Company, OregonItâs a magnificent setting â classic Western landscape of open prairie filled with sagebrush and cheatgrass nestled up against hillsides of ponderosa pine. It couldnât be more private. BUT, take the admonition against using GPS seriously. Google Maps nearly killed us sending us through some treacherous forest service work roads in until we retraced our steps.

Langlois Meadow Hideaway
in Langlois Meadow Hideaway/ Treehouse, OregonIt was a lovely secluded spot. Though just off the 101, it seemed like miles away. The roses growing on the split rail fences were particularly lovely. There are a couple places to eat nearby and a small, friendly grocery store.

RV site on a unique property.
in Unique Coastal Mini Retreat, CaliforniaBrittny was a wonderfully friendly host. In addition to the camping sites, she has a couple VRBO or Airbnb cabins. Those looked pretty sweet too. There is a long beautiful deserted beach only a short walk away. My dog adored it.
John hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
