RV/Tent (Site 1)
in Camp Shiloh, FloridaThe campsite was cute, cozy, and well kept. The hosts responded quickly, were accommodating, and made sure we had everything we needed. They brought us fresh eggs, and the kids were even able to hold a chicken. The rain caused standing water in the yard, i.e. mosquitoes and no-see-ums. OFF Family Care didnât do a thing! The kids were covered in bites, and we were bit through our shirts. Bring at least 30% DEET and a citronella candle, and you should be good to go. The toilet was actually very pleasantâ no odor at all. The chickens werenât loud enough to wake us, but the train does come through several times a night. The crickets and frogs are loud enough to drown out most traffic noises. I would suggest a battery powered fan for white noise and/or earplugs. The neighbors like their power tools and their music into the night, and fellow campers are so close that you can hear them tossing and turning in their sleep. There is a canal adjacent to the property, and we could hear alligators bellowing. Overall, the property was beautiful and the hosts were good peopleâ just donât forget bug spray and some type of noise reduction.

Backyard camping with the crickets and the frogs! Close to Charlotte. Sherry was accommodating, welcoming, and thoughtful.
