Kindred Spirits Cabin
in Kindred Spirits Horse Farm, OregonSecond time back, lovely as always! Nicky's farm is my wife & I's happy place to decompress, slow down and take a step back into nature. Will always recommend Kindred.
P.S. take a stroll out to the front pasture at 2am, sit down on the driveway and look at the blanket of stars. Beyond magical.
Kindred Spirits Cabin
in Kindred Spirits Horse Farm, OregonPlease read! I would highly recommend everyone to spend a weekend at Kindred Spirits. It's not only a beautiful getaway, but more so an experience that my wife and I can't wait to repeat. It was beyond worth the 4.5hr drive from Portland to celebrate our anniversary and you cannot beat the price.
The property is gorgeous and peacefully serene, sitting on a 5 acre farm surrounded by mountain views with horses and a handful of wonderfully entertaining dogs. There is plenty of land to explore, as Nicole allows you to go into the horse pastures and use her personal grounds to play games and relax.
The cabin is everything it needs to be. It feels like you're sleeping in the trees... big enough to be comfortable while small enough to force you outside. The bed is comfortable, room is clean and updated (with electricity), the seperate kitchen is only a few steps away with everything needed to prep and cook full meals. (We packed a cooler of prepared dished for 4 days and ate every meal on the property. Cooked over the fire or on the electric burner). The outhouse is extremely clean and comfortable to use.
Make the time to interact with Nicole, she's a blast! Knowledgable about all the things to do in the area (which there is surprisingly a lot of) and if nothing else will entertain you with stories. We ended up accompanying her to a vineyard where we watched paragliders land in the field.. she really knows how to make your stay feel personal.
All in all, I would say this is the best hipcamp/airbnb experience I've had. My wife and I will most definitely be returning for another weekend getaway.
