Pineleaf has a total of 4 campsites! 3 are primitive and 1 rustic cabin with more cabins to come in the near future. The primitive sites sleep up to 15 people and 8 tents. The cabin sleeps up to 5 guests and is handicap accessible! and can also put tents near the cabin.
The camp is cannabis friendly for 21+ with id and complimentary with the exception if you dont want to smoke/cunsume cannabis its optional. No alcohol allowed at the camp but you may go up town or down to The Hideaway Bar & Grill for a bite and a drink!

Peaceful setting on 40 wooded acres that is located at the end of two county roads with virtually no traffic. Upon arriving at the property, you will enter through a gate and arrive to the secluded camp area with a beautiful, cozy full log cabin. *Please note the directions begin at the Shell Station (102 South Michigan Avenue, Manton, MI 49663) because the cabin doesn't have a physical address.* We're happy to meet you and guide you right to it!
The cabin has propane lighting, propane refrigerator, an antique stove with burner tops, and a free-standing propane gas stove for crisp evenings. There is a small kitchen area with a sleeping loft above and a sitting/family area at the far end of the cabin. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, coffee pot, dishes, and misc. utensils. *Please bring your own linens, pillows, and water.
On the backside of the cabin, you'll find a peaceful sitting area with a firepit. When nature calls, there is a well-built outhouse that is available. There is also a large outdoor shower with heated water and a dressing area. There are trails that meander through the property for those who enjoy walking, biking, snowmobiling, or four wheeling. You won't find a more peaceful, tranquil property to relax in and enjoy the wildlife. Only 1.3 miles into Manton with several bars and restaurants. Within 3 miles you are able to gain access to State property, the Manistee River, and Chase Creek.
From the trails in this area you can go as far as Houghton Lake and Fife Lake. Great area for hunting, fishing, four wheeling, dirt bikes, and hiking. This is a great getaway you don't want to miss out on!

This cabin is located on 10 acres with 1 other cabin and a shared screened in Pavillion located nearby. 4wd is required to access. There is an outhouse just down the trail behind the cabins and the shared screened in pavilion. There is a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal). There is a bonfire pit between the two cabins as well.
There are plenty of fallen trees for you to use as firewood. A phone number/address will also be provided for wood pickup or delivery if you’d prefer to take that route.
Guests also may enjoy the “LiL ATV Trail” that is cut onto the property.

Hot tub is included! So if you are out skiing or snowmobiling and need to warm up or you just want to relax on your stay we have you covered!
You will be able to access the entire property and the lake in summer and winter. The home is totally available except for the storage in the rear of the basement.

This 20-acre property is surrounded by public land and is a short hike to Rapid River, which is nestled in a valley of giant cedars and white pines. The property has trails through a hardwood forest of maples, beeches and cherry trees. There is also an open meadow that boasts an abundance of wildlife. The property is secluded on a deadend two-track less than two miles from US-131 between Kalkaska and Mancelona. Torch Lake is only a 20-minute drive and Traverse City is about 50 minutes away.
There is a clean porta-potty and water can be provided on request. Also, a 4-person tent can be provided at an additional cost. The campsite has a fire ring, shovel and plenty of wood for late night fires. The Raven's Nest is a cozy 12 x 16 cabin. It is an off-grid experience with a wood stove for winter adventures.

*Access to the cabin involves a 1/4 mile hike on a mowed path through the meadow.* Absolutely no motor vehicles are allowed on the path. The path is marked by solar lights at night. A 4-wheeled cart is provided to effortlessly get your belongings back and forth.
PRIMITIVE EXPERIENCE
Enjoy a rustic, off-grid Northern Michigan camping experience, all in the comfort of a tastefully decorated cabin. This cabin DOES NOT have electricity, running water, or traditional plumbing.
OUTSIDE
This 640SF cabin boasts two porches. The front porch overlooks the meadow and is perfect for sunsets and coffee. This porch includes a hand pump for fresh water in the warm months. The back porch faces the woods and is a great place to cook on the propane grill while enjoying a bonfire.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is conveniently located off the back porch and is stocked with essentials to prep your meals, and boasts a dry sink with a 5 gallon water dispenser for washing dishes and washing up. We do NOT stock food essentials or keep food in the cabin; please bring your own, along with a cooler. The table has ample seating for enjoying meals, cards, and board games. One-of-a-kind animal mounts and rustic decorations adorn the whole downstairs.
LIVING ROOM
The living room is perfectly situated at the front of the cabin, overlooking the meadow. The propane fireplace will warm the entire cabin- even the loft! Sit on the leather couch and relax as you overlook the meadow.
THE LOFT
Head up the wood ladder to the open loft. You will find a cozy queen bed on one side, and 3 twin beds on the other. Bedding is included! The loft is a shared space, but does provide some privacy when the curtain divider is drawn. We've included a hand crank Victrola with records for those days when you miss Spotify.
THE OUTHOUSE
The outhouse is conveniently located several paces away from the cabin and bonfire. It has a locking door with window and curtain for privacy. A bucket of wood shavings is provided to cover your waste and keep the smell down.

There is a casino located in Petoskey on Little Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan as well as Mackinaw, and are a short drive away! Take a jump off the breakwall, or visit the newest bridge at Boyne Mountain Resort, just a stone's throw away! Relax in peace, the woods, and enjoy a little slice of heaven. There is no electricity, running water, or trash services. Please pack in, pack out. Please do not leave discarded or broken beer or alcohol bottles on property. There are over 30 fruit trees on site, from Black Pearl and Bing Cherries, Apricots, Peach trees, Honeycrisp apples trees etc, 250 sunflower seeds were also planted this season. This is a very delicate area near a local watershed source, Deer Creek, wetlands on property, and also fruit tree farm in it's early stages, organic strawberries, and organic raspberries growing as well. If you can't respect the trees, plants, flowers, on property please do not book! Also with all of the fruit tree plantings, parking is limited to one to two vehicles inside property at site, other vehicles can park along the drive on M32. A rustic, permalog style cabin that is suited to accommodate up to nine. This is a cabin to help disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our chaotic lives. There is limited cell signal, no internet and no local or cable channels. The cabin is pet friendly, as I believe our pets are an extension of our families and should get to vacation with everyone rather than boarded (dogs only are allowed). Primary source of heat is a propane wall furnace. There is an electric fireplace in the living room. In the summer there is a window AC unit at the cabin and a fan for the loft (it does get hot up there).
The cabin is very close (1/4 mile) to the AuSable River where you can easily launch boats, canoes and more. The ORV trail head is just a 1/4 mile down the road. This is also the perfect cabin for hunting, fishing, hiking and trail riding. Be sure to keep an eye out for an eagle or two. Also had deer tracks in the yard.

4 nights at Arcala Bunkhouse
This cozy cabin in the woods was exactly the peaceful getaway we needed. The starry nights, crackling campfires, and quiet walks through the forest with our dog made the stay unforgettable. The cabin itself was warm, welcoming, and full of thoughtful touches, especially the welcoming basket waiting for us. The propane gas fireplace kept us perfectly comfortable on the cold nights, and the entire space felt like a true retreat.
We loved having time to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature together. This stay was a much-needed mental health reset, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome!!! The cabin is so cozy and it is clear that a lot of thought has been put into this stay (extra lights, lighters, charcoal for the grill, multiple chairs, condiments, lots of wood etc.). My dog and I were nice and toasty when it got down below freezing. The outhouse was spotless. The fire pit and yard were so charming at night. Lots of trails to walk. The hosts were fantastic and treat you like family. I will be going again

Beautiful setting, and a well-equipped rustic cabin! Jeremey was incredibly helpful answering our questions ahead of the trip, and made sure everything was ready for our arrival. So peaceful and relaxing! Our husky Tala loved being able to explore. We loved the covered deck, the sauna, and being able to use the canoes on the crystal clear river. Weekend Trip to Arcala Bunkhouse
Carole and Art are two of the sweetest, most accommodating hosts you'll ever hope to meet! The amount of care and effort they put into making you feel comfortable is second to none. Like I told them, they thought of everything! Even the doggos and kiddos are made to feel welcome. There were even games for children of all ages to play - outdoors and in. For me, it was a solo trip. Carole and Art's property is so quiet and relaxing and was just what the Mental Health Professional ordered! I highly recommend the Arcala Bunkhouse for individuals, couples, groups, and families alike. The property has hills all around and is adjacent to a tree farm. Everything is so beautiful! I took so many pictures of the landscape and wildlife. I shared the atypical ones in order to not repeat the pictures that were already posted.

Carole and Art met with us and showed us exactly where we were going, it is definitely not on any main roads. It was beautiful and private. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The outdoor shower was super cool to use. The trails are well maintained. We got to see plenty of deer and even a bobcat! We will definitely be returning!

The Tree Hugger site was perfect for our trip! Todd was a phenomenal host and gave us very clear instructions. The cabin was very cozy and comfortable. The property was gorgeous and so quiet. It was the perfect place to get away for a little while. We’ll definitely be back!

This place was good for the soul. The beautiful river, the sandy beach, fire pit, no TV or road noise made this the perfect getaway. We will be back and will stay longer. The outhouse was clean and well stocked. What a gem!

My wife and I had to change our plans last second for our vacation, and what we thought was just a nice little cabin in the woods ended up being a true up-north getaway that we will definitely be returning to! Carole and Al were wonderful hosts, and their property was beautiful. The fireplace and back patio were inviting, the grounds well maintained and easily hike-able, the inside of the cabin very charming, and overall the experience was far better than I could have expected.

Weekend Trip to Arcala Bunkhouse
This is an excellent place to stay very nice house. Both her and husband are great house and they’re making sure that everything is OK. Show us where the place was and ask us if we needed anything. They were amazing even through the little bit of rain and stuff. We enjoyed the place. Very much. Very nice place. Just to get away and relax with you and your friends. I welcome anyone who likes to be out in the wilderness, just by yourself and relaxing to come joy this place. It is amazing.

The perfect cabin for a getaway. Upon arriving in Manton we met with Carole and Art, two of the nicest hosts we have ever encountered and they led us to the property. Without guidance it would be very hard to find. The cabin was perfect! It was extremely clean (to include the outhouse and shower) and had all necessary supplies in case you forgot to bring anything with you. We had a great time exploring the trails and woods with our doggo over the weekend. Our favorite part of the property had to have been the amount of land available to explore and the outdoor shower. The shower was warm and was such a cool set up. There was firewood available for our use as well as extras like corn hole which we really enjoyed. They provided a snack basket and treats for our pup which was a really special touch. This was the perfect mix between camping and staying in a cabin. We would highly recommend staying here and we plan to come again. Thank you Carole and Art for your amazing hospitality. 10/10

Our family stayed the weekend at Arcala Bunkhouse, and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family! It was such a nice place to stay, with it being close to things but far enough away to feel like a getaway. We loved the quiet, being able to bring our dog, and our kids loved the exploring! Art & Carole were amazing hosts! The cabin was clean and cozy, and the details were not forgotten!
