Our story begins with a little old lady, our grandma, who believed with all her heart that we were worth it. She passed a few years ago, and what better way to honor her belief in us than to create Ethel's Hideout. We came from a small ranching family, which has brought us closer than we ever imagined. Our most unique feature is horse stalls on site. Bring your horses with you and reserve stalls for them as well. Our convenient location offers direct access to ride on public lands. Picturesque camping set within the protective hilltops of beautiful Lydia's Canyon. This camping destination is on private land and has long list of unique, attractive features. Conveniently located just a couple minutes off Highway 89, this is the perfect stop over between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Special features including private fishing ponds, a large pavilion equipped with tables and chairs, fire pits, kayaks and FREE WIFI will make your stay easy and fun! Campers will enjoy clean, HOT showers and flushable toilets.
You will have access to the multi-acre campground where you can choose which tent site or RV site you prefer. We DO allow no hook-up camping vans in our tent sites. Two of our four new RV sites have full hook-ups (sites 3 & 4), the other two (sites 1 & 2) have water and power hookups only. All sites are equipped with 30 & 50 amp breakers
You will have access to the large pavilion for gathering, cooking or shelter from the elements. You also have access to the clean bath house, equipped with two shower rooms (with on-demand hot water) and flushable toilets. As an added bonus, you will have access to the ponds, you may use the boat, canoe or kayaks, you can also catch and release fish if you have your own fishing equipment. (Keep a fish or accidental kill for a fee.) If interested in booking a fishing experience, please reach out to us for more details.
There are seven available tent sites and four available RV sites with hookups. No beds or tents are provided. Please plan to bring your own camping supplies. Common spaces including the pavilion and bath house are shared with all campground guests.
Lydia's Canyon is known for lush green fields, overflowing fresh water ponds full of native fish, Canadian geese, turkeys, exclusive bird-watching, deer, farming, cows, horses, and last but not least . . . kind, welcoming residents who are happy to help you have a memorable experience.
Your super hosts, Jeremy and Betty, live nearby and are available to help when needed.

Kolob Campground is located adjacent to the Kolob Reservoir boat ramp and dock, including four acres of private shoreline. Just a few feet from the paved road, nestled in tall aspen, oak,
and pine trees.
Access to potable water is available adjacent to camp, and public restrooms (vault toilets) are only a short walk from camp.
WiFi access is available nearby at Kolob Adventure Rentals/Adventure Beach (3 minute walk). WiFi location and password provided by host upon request. This is an exclusive benefit available to our guests, and the only WiFi available to campers in the area.

rentals, snacks and beverages are also located nearby.
LP(propane) fires are allowed and LP fire bowls

We loved our stay at Ethel’s Hideout! The views were great and there was potable water, phone service, and a porta-potty. The campsite was private, and the host was very accommodating. The host came by to make sure we had everything we needed, as well as told us about a hike up to a butte, which we did the next morning! In the photo with our tent you can see the butte, and the next photo is a view from the top!

The RV sites were very clean, and the shared facilities—such as the showers, BBQ grills, and hot tubs—were all well maintained, making our stay very comfortable.
There was also a supermarket, a hardware store, and a gas station just a two-minute drive away, which was very convenient.

This was our first experience with HipCamp and Roy set the bar high! He greeted us upon our arrival to personally show us around his property. As there weren’t too many people there that night he gave us some options for sites that would best suit our needs. The site was well equipped with stump seats and a nicely constructed fire pit in addition to being private from others. We were also happy to meet his sweet dogs and welcoming rescued donkeys. We would definitely stay here again!

Super easy to find this place and park the trailer! Pull through sites with water, hookups, and picnic tables. Super quiet!! and gorgeous. This is a great spot!! Smells a little like horses, but it didn't bother me. Kind of across the street from the Buckskin, but nearby every amenity you would need in Kanab.

White House was a great place to stay. I was on my way from Las Vegas to lake Powell and passed by. its a little bit of a drive but not bad. I did it just fine in a Nissan Altima. It does gonover a wash so if it's been raining you might not be able to reach it. When I got there there was no one there but a car at the trail head. The vault bathrooms were clean. They were renovating the campground at the time and it was free to stay during work. As a woman traveling alone I was a little apprehensious to stay there alone but as I left someone else showed up so I decided to stay. I'm glad I did. It was beautiful and the sky was the darkest, clearest sky I'd seen all summer. Great access to glen canyon. About a half hour away.

White House is super easy to reach, scenic and has everything you would need to kick off an adventure into Paria Canyon, the surrounding Vermillion Cliffs or plan your attack for attempting the ever-elusive lottery for The Wave hike.
The White House Trailhead & Campground sits just north of the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument. There are only 5 walk-in sites ($5 per night), very clean bathrooms, and grilled firepit/picnic tables in each site. The camping area is surrounded by beautifully sculpted and colored sandstone cliffs that make for fun quick hikes and gorgeous views of the area.
The Paria River cuts the desert landscape like a snake, winding through the wash just south of the camping area.
