I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another.
Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more!
The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake.
The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains.
The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier.
Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. Their menu includes Certified South Carolina Grown food which makes for an outstanding menu, also which can be viewed on chattoogabellefarm.com.
When it comes to weddings, Chattooga Belle Farm has it all! With all-inclusive packages that offer rental items, catering, a wedding coordinator, photographer, flowers, music, bar service and even the wedding cake. A mountain creek flows about 500 feet beyond the property boundary on National Forest land, adding to the peaceful setting.
Upon arrival, you’ll find a private gravel parking and camping area suitable for tents, camper vans, rooftop tents, and small trailers(sub 13 foot). The site works well for very small travel trailers, teardrops, and Class B camper vans. Large RVs, fifth wheels, and Class A motorhomes are not recommended.
A moldering compost privy is conveniently located between the gravel camping area and the start of the trail.
A private quarter-mile trail climbs approximately 260 feet through the forest to a spectacular ridge-top overlook. At the summit, you’ll enjoy breathtaking 270-degree panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. It’s the perfect place to watch sunrise, sunset, meteor showers, and the Milky Way overhead.
The property sits within one of the darkest sky regions in the Southeast, making it ideal for stargazing and astrophotography. On clear nights, thousands of stars fill the sky.

Coweeta Creek Campground is a charming small "boutique" campground nestled along Coweeta Creek in the heart of an Otto rural neighborhood. Each RV site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens (currently no rooster), bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. Turkey Foot Trail is a 1/2 mile trail that takes you through the wooded area to the peak of the property.
The campground is only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 20 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek!
Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival.
Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting.
*Please send us a message if you are interested in renting out the entire property for family reunions, birthdays, or other events. There is potential for 10 sites with water/electricity along the creek, but we don't advertise it!

This property is situated on 50 acres, surrounded by private property with views of the nearby Pisgah National Forest and a 10 minute drive to DuPont State Forest.
Campsites are adjacent to the French Broad River. Excellent fishing and boating. It is heavily populated by deer and other wildlife. For this reason, dogs must be kept on a leash.
Please note that due to the campground being in low-lying land, the drive in is subject to being slick and muddy, 4WD is required. Message us with any questions.
Due to the property proximity to the river and situated in floodway, the sites are subject to flooding during heavy rain events. Voluntary and/or mandatory evacuation may be necessary during any reservation due to high waters or forecast for high water events. If evacuation is necessary, unused portions of reservation will be refunded.
Campers are advised to be self-sufficient with water and shower facilities. We do provide a port a potty and firewood is for sale on site (Venmo, PayPal or cash). IF YOU ARE CAMPING WITH A RV OR TRAILER, PLEASE CONTACT US TO DISCUSS A SITE. All sites can accommodate smaller RV camper units. However, larger RV's have limited site availability.
Campsites are situated along the river edge. Embankments are steep and near deep water. Although not prohibited, constant supervision for children is a must to avoid serious injury due to natural hazards.

Our mountaintop options include Eagle’s Nest and Songbird Campsites. These two sites provide breathtaking, long-range mountain views and epic sunsets. They are great for quick get-aways, with ease of access to main roads/highways.
Indigo Eagle Sanctuary Sites are located within a few miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee Reservation (museum, shops, dining) and Maggie Valley, a quaint mountain town with more shops, food, and entertainment. Nearest grocery stores are Ingles in Waynesville, or Food Lion in Cherokee. The popular Asheville is about a 50minute drive from our Sanctuary. Plenty to explore here, while being able to unplug and unwind.

Our outdoor experience offers complete, private access to guests only, with fishing, tubing, kayaking, and hiking activities on the property. A rugged 9-hole disc golf trail encourages exploration of your private mountain. Our yurts and A-frame site provide large fire pits, exquisite views from their ample porches, hugging you with a warm, peaceful welcome home from a day full of activities.
Our yurts are nicely appointed with a queen-size bed, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The detached 144 sq ft shared bath house provides all the facilities, as well as towels and basic bathing necessities for yurt stays only. Lie on the heated mattress pad with soft linens and watch the stars sail across the clear dome as you drift off to sleep to dream of the day's adventures. Nestled up to the Great Smoky Mountains National park, this property is unique in everything it offers. Riverside on the renowned fly fishing river, the Tuckasegee River, or ridge top on Cullowhee Mountain, elevation 3850'. There are improved camp sites, yurts, or free range camping and hiking. The views are spectacular, wherever you decide to locate on the property. We implement " Leave no trace" rules and welcome respectful 4wd access to the entire mountain. Absolutely loved camping here! We stayed the first night at the middle camp in our tent and the last night at the top camp in our hammocks. If you’re willing to do the hike it is absolutely worth it to stay at the top campsite. Just pack light so you don’t get weighed down, it’s steep haha. But the views from the top were unbelievable! We watched the sunset and the fog roll in over the mountains after a short rain shower and then watched as the stars popped up! We woke up early, watched the sun rise, and the fog make its leave from the mountain tops below! We will definitely be coming back again!

This campsite is one of the best I’ve been to. Easy to get to, yet exceptionally private and beautiful. The navigation instructions provided get you right to the spot, and the site is very secluded. The perfect spot to reconnect with nature and get off the grid.
The site features three campsites. A small one right off the parking lot, another one a bit up the trail near the privy, and finally, the pièce de résistance, a campsite at the very peak where we stayed. While the lower sites seemed good and convenient, the upper site features the most privacy and the best views by far, and is definitely the main reason to book this site. I have not seen views similar to the ones available in my life.
A few things I would caution: this is a primitive site, so keep that in mind. If you’re someone who needs to comforts of a campsite, this may not be for you. Also, the trails to the upper campsite and creek, while very well marked and easy to follow, can be difficult to navigate, especially after rain. If you’re planning to camp at the upper site, I would advise treating it as a backpacking campsite, rather than one you can bring a lot of gear to. The same goes for the creek. It’s a lovely spot to relax at, but I would caution against using it as your main water source given the difficulty of transporting it back to the site. Overall, this site is phenomenal and I highly recommend it, just be aware of possible difficulties getting to what really makes this site shine.

My wife and I had a great time in our 30 foot Class C in site 1 which was located right on the creek which was crystal clear. Saw 3 deer both days. It was very relaxing with no rd noise. There was a beautiful view looking south up into the mtns. The host Mellissa was great and offered us their local honey and fresh eggs from the chicken coop. It was fun cooling our feet in the creek and watching the stars at night. There were very few bugs and a few short hiking trails in close proximity. They also have a fishing pond. Would definitely stay there again.

If I could, I would literally live at this place. The property is gorgeous, and my site (4) was PERFECT. The site is next to the river and beautifully maintained. It’s the only tent site so it’s a separate from the RV hookups while still having access electric and water. Melissa and her husband could not have been more hospitable and attentive hosts. I was OVER THE MOON to get some fresh eggs and honey (They also have firewood). No one was checking in the day I left, so they even offered to let me stay a bit longer and chill. If you’re lucky enough to book this place, DO IT. 10/10 no notes!

The "Moonshine" Cabin was unique and totally cool! Clayton & Tiffany are excellent hosts providing timely and thorough communications. My wife and I loved the hilltop campsite, the bathhouse, hiking trails, and the fire ring. We had a chill, relaxing, thoroughly enjoyable weekend. I would highly recommend!

This is currently my favorite campground in North Carolina. The location is free of traffic sounds, full of stars, and hosted by great folks. Not far from Highlands, Dillard, and Franklin do plenty of options for things to do. The creek in the summer is awesome where you may see rainbow trout, Great Blue Herons, river otters, and other fauna. The eggs, honey, and firewood are perks! Full connections and great WiFi?

Camp hosts were very nice and welcoming, bath houses were exceptionally clean, and it was nice to have a shelter with AC to get out of the summer heat. Close to a lot of beautiful waterfalls and hikes. If you want to purchase firewood you have to ask the camp host.

Chattooga Belle Farms provided the perfect setting for my son's eleventh birthday, hosting our group of eleven fathers and sons for a camping trip. The property is incredible with beautiful scenery and good fishing, allowing us to catch crappie, bass, and bream. We also enjoyed swimming, games of Capture the Flag, and time around the campfire. The hosts were helpful and their directions made the site easy to find, making the entire experience a ten out of ten.
