Van Buren River Fun RV & Campsites opened for the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 with a sold out campground! It was an awesome experience to see the beautiful Eclipse!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a ton of fun!
This campground is unique because it comes with private access to 1 mile of river access at Shote Hole Bluff there's a shallow gravel bar for swimming, lounging in the sun in your chair, cooking out, a boat dock, you can set up a canopy for the day and have fun in the sun in the pristine crystal clear gorgeous spring fed Current River!
The RV and camp sites have access to a potable water spigot, a porta potty all season long from May 24th through September 3rd, a sewer dump site and the RV and campsites have their own fire rings. The river is directly across the road from the campground.
This is the quietest campground that is close to the river and it is very close to Van Buren.
It is a rare luxury to have walking access to the Current River.

This 12-acre property is high in the Ozarks, literally next door to the Mark Twain National Forest. The space being rented is large enough for a small trailer and several vehicles, and can also accommodate multiple tents. Nice view.
It can be used for vacation camping, hunting base camp, hiking trips, or photography expeditions. You can also use the space as a base camp for rafting trips.
This place is absolutely crawling with wildlife: deer, bear, turkeys, and countless other critters big and small. There’s even supposedly a red wolf or two in the area.
The property is separated into two halves by a high ridge. One side of the ridge is for living and farming, and the other side is for hunting and hiking. There is a seasonal creek on each side of the ridge.
Your rental spot is kept cut short and is treated for ticks and chiggers.

We're so happy we made the trip out to Sinking Creek Ranch. We got to experience full RV hookups for the first time and it was a game changer. The sites were maintained and the bath house was really clean and super cute. There is wifi at the bathhouse with ice and wood available. There are treats in the bathroom to feee the horses too! They had a glamping area that we want to check out in the future. What made this place exceptional were the host. They were so friendly and personable. It almost made us feel like we were family. You can also bring off road vehicles which my husband took advantage of. There are miles of awesome intermediate single tracks with great views. The host even took time to go on a ride with my husband to show him around. There are side by side trails as well. Even a swimming hole nearby to cool off. We are already planning our return visit!

We loved our stay at Fredrock! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the whole place is so beautiful! I can’t put into words how gorgeous the river and shut-ins are here! We spent days lounging and swimming in the river. It’s also close enough to other areas where we were able to do some other day trips to other shut-ins and St Louis!
It’s a large property with lots of cool places to stay. Everything is clean, all the Rv hook-ups worked perfectly and there was plenty of space in our site. We usually boondock and don’t do Rv parks because we like our space but we had enough space here! Other campers were quiet and respectful.

Great little spot, beautiful sunsets, felt safe and was quiet. Katrina was so kind and allowed us to check in one hour early. She met us at the lot and gave some local recommendations of things to do. Was great to have a place to do laundry & the shower was nice and hot. The place does need a little TLC as most of the campers are permanent residents and have a lot of random stuff sitting around, also our picnic table was rotted and unusable. But those things aren’t dealbreakers! Very nice place overall, would definitely stay again.

We camped over Memorial Day weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Sites were level, plenty of room, great picnic table and fire ring. We enjoyed the clean (and very nice!) bathroom/showers. Beautiful view, river access, feels remote but just minutes from town. 11/10, will be back.

Great place for a relaxing weekend. Hosts were very accommodating, and helpful. It's always easy to see, when owners take pride in what they are doing, and it showed here. The shower house was prestine and the coffee was a huge bonus, especially when packing up to leave on the final morning. The trails were great, and campsites were clean, and well marked. The only surprise here was that not every spot was booked at such a nice place! I will return, and plan to make this a frequent spot.

Awesome place- quaint and we just happened to be lucky enough and had the whole place to ourselves. Rv sites all had full hookups. Bathrooms and showers just fantastic. We will return again and highly recommend.

Amazing spot, super private and great hosts. It is off the beaten path a bit. There is a bit of off-roading as the paved road ends about 2 miles before you get to your destination. The rv pads are a bit narrow if you have a slide and want to stay on the gravel. However it’s worth it!

Very well taken care of campground and Misty and her staff were a delight!
There are so many little hidden spots they have setup to just relax in the woods by the creek. The road noise is noticeable, but the area makes up for it for sure!!!
