Mosquito Flat Reservoir Campground

Beautiful and quiet campground. We spent the 4th of July here and there were two bald eagles perched overhead the entire day. How American is that?! Great for families and we had a wonderful time here. Lake is a fun size to play in but small enough that it's too big for kids to go kayaking and rafting on their own.

Meadow Lake Campground

We have camped at Meadow Lake several times over the last 15 years. The campground is at 9100 feet, the highest in Idaho. Recently upgraded campsites right on crystal wait tclear Meadow Lake. Go during the week and you will have the campground almost to yourself. Gilmore ghost town is a great way to spend some time exploring. Fishing is good for some delicious rainbow trout. We are going this summer and can't wait to get up there and chill for a few days. Check it out and enjoy!

Cellular service is non-existant in this area, however that should not be a deterrent to visiting this beautiful area!

Horse Creek Hot Spring Campground

We did not camp here overnight, but came here during the day to enjoy the springs. Be warned, the drive out to the springs is 12 miles of terrifying one-lane dirt and gravel road that snake along and over some steep mountains. I'm amazed we made it there and back with clean shorts. The springs are absolutely lovely and worth the drive. They are crystal clear and a perfect 103 degrees. A hut with an open roof for star gazing is built around the deepest pool. The campground looked nice, room enough for about 3 or 4 groups to enjoy. If you want middle-of-nowhere camping this is it.
