Tarantula Ranch is located in the Mojave Desert surrounded by BLM land and nearby Death Valley National Park. One of the first vineyards in Nevada, we grow 5 varietals of grapes and make wine on-site. We offer guests camping, glamping, and an RV site.
Camping and Glamping sites are located next to the vines and include picnic tables, shared bathhouse with toilets and shower, outdoor kitchen (bbq, gas cooktop). We also have a community area "The Wine Hall" with ping-pong, shuffleboard, refrigerator, and microwave.
Outside our gates, enjoy biking, hiking, scrambling, and exploring the Amargosa Desert and nearby Skeleton Hills.
Nearby attractions include Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge (30-minutes) and Death Valley National Park (45-minutes). We have spent a lot of time in the park and are happy to answer questions, make suggestions, or even take you on a tour.

Randys castle. Ghost Towns and mines. And more. Great place. Enjoy a private limo ride to and from Las Vegas to Death Valley. Bonnie Claire Gold Mill. In a 16 passenger super stretch limousine. You can camp out or just take the tour. We have two tours.
1. One just Bonnie Claire Gold Mill. Take a 2 .5 hour ride thru the most scenic Western Towns in Vegas. Very historical beautiful scenery all the way there. We stop off at Beatty Nevada to the world famous candy store that has the best choices for all kinds of candy.. Even the candy you miss as a kid. Refresh . Get a Subway, shop souvenirs or get a home made ice cream float. $299 per person.. inc. Food limo and to and from Bonnie claire. Then we continue to Bonnie Claire Gold Mill about 40 minutes from there. See Gold Mountain. Mines shafts and more. Is a magical experience.
2. Grand tour. Wear we drive from Bonnie Claire Gold mill to Tonopah Nevada and explore the huge self guided tour " the historical mining museum " Wear it all happen. 2 billion in silver was taken from these 3 mines. Is amazing . Google it. Price is $399 per person . Inc food , drinks and private limo to and from Las Vegas to Bonnie Claire. Much more fun then Grand Canyon. And if the hot mineral springs are open. Well stop there as well. Many have said the Bonnie Claire Gold Mill tour was the most beautiful thing they ever did. So give it a try. Limousine ride . Ice cold air. 2 tvs . Relax and see the West. Great stop off. Nice hosts, unexpectedly nice facilities, including a shower, outdoor kitchen. Not sonprovate, but I knew that when I booked. Cat visits and happy camp dogs were the best.

It was overall a great site. Civilization is close enough if you need it (20-30 minutes), yet far enough away to provide seclusion and spectacular views of the night sky.
The ground is soft enough to make it easy to sink tent stakes, but strong enough to hold them in place when the wind kicks up. This made setup and breakdown particularly easy.
The roads are primitive, but can be traversed by a 2WD vehicle with a little care.
Best of all, it was close to a lot of scenic sites, including Big Dune and Ash Meadows, and just a pleasant 45 minute drive from Death Valley. It serves as a great base for exploring a beautiful part of the country.

This spot is incredible!! I didn’t want to leave. Welcoming, clean, easy to find and away from the noise! It has all the amenities you could need, outdoor sink and cooking spaces, quaint and clean bathroom/showers. We will definitely be back and give this place a 5-Star!

Brandon was super friendly and welcoming! The site was nice, hookups were easy. Very clean & well kept. Great signage and decorated really nicely & so fun- you can tell they take pride in it. Remote but easy to get to. They are just waiting for their license so they can sell their wine. Would definitely stay again - even bought the T-shirts.

Wonderful place. It is very secluded and you have everything you need. They have gone above and beyond with the look and feel. You will have everything you need. I was in my own van but I walked around and could tell that they pay attention to detail and their accommodations are perfect. You have to use the outdoor shower.

The campsite is very isolated - nearest structure is several hundred meters away, but 15 minutes from services (gas station). The site is gravel and pretty level, and so blissfully quiet. Ane the sky was so dark and clear, all the big constellations were easily viewable - Sagittarius, Scorpio, Cassiopeia, so many. Next time, I'll bring my telescope. Even if for only one night, make this a part of your rotation. On second thought, no body go there- yeah that's it. Leave it all for me - Mwaaahaa it's all mine.

Lovely space carved out of the desert. Beautiful and austere vistas with gorgeous sunsets over the Amargosa Mtns. Amenities are as described and clean. The host was very responsive when I had questions. Would immediately stay here again next time I'm through this area.

We stayed in the RV spot close to the house and it was easy to find. It's a beautiful piece of property and they have many amenities. The only thing I would caution is there's no shade in the heat of the summer when you stay in the RV site. We went for walks down the gravel road and found a shady place to relax just a few miles down the road.

Camped in Hole-in-the-wall road and had a phenomenal experience. Highly recommend watching sunset at Dante’s point and doing some stargazing while you’re in the park 🤩

Incredible place to explore!
Absolutely amazing! So much to do and see. The landscapes are other worldly and the interpretive signage taught us so much about the area! We spent almost a whole day looking for different kinds of pupfish. 😆

Best option of the fcfs(first come first served) that were readily accessible. Above the valley floor but just. Many sites are pull through and had tables and fire pits. No connections and generators not allowed but clean flush toilets and access to water. Can get windy at night up top. Quiet after dark despite being full each night. There were sites available every day (weekday) but it tended to be full by sunset. Nearby Sunset campground looked like it always had sites but sites were more like parking lot.
Centrally located-- Great access to super bloom and trails.

We stopped in at Death Valley National Park on our way from Sequoia National Forest to Las Vegas. We went to the visitors center, Badwater Basin, and Artists Palette.

Furnace creek is a great oasis in the desert. Be sure your site is large enough so all your Rv and other vehicle tires are on concrete. This rule is strictly enforced. Lots to see and do in the park and it was nice to enjoy warm temps in February
