Tranqvillium was purchased in 2016 with the intention of creating Gaia Earthen Technologies Sustainable Living Educational and Research Center. Construction started in 2016 and now we have our first temporary building and working on the others. The daily operation is run by Tranqvillium, an intentional community of people who don't like to spend their money on rent and utility bills.Learn more about this land:The location is about an hour west of Las Vegas in the California Mojave Desert. This is a great spot in a secluded tiny town in the middle of the desert. I can’t say anything negative about our stay. We enjoyed seeing the nearby Ash Meadows nature preserve just after the New Year. We saw the endangered Pupfish at the Point of Rock’s site! Zanchary’s place is the closest we could get to explore the nature preserve. His place is well kept, and he was a great host. We booked one of the rv sites, and had everything we needed. We are looking forward to coming back someday! Campers beware, there is no gas station or store in town. We cut it uncomfortably close to get to Pahrump, which is just over 20 miles from the site, and we had a full tank in Vegas. If you’re pulling a rig, make sure you are filled up before you get too far into the desert. Gas options are very limited! My Jeep gets 10mpg pulling a trailer, so I was sweating it.

Jeffry’s Farm was a very convenient location for our needs. It is under a flight path, but we found this not to be a problem. Evenings were fairly peaceful and we actually enjoyed watching the planes come in during the day. Parking area was fairly flat and easy to get in and out of. We would stay here again if in the area.

We had a great stay at Leo’s place. He was a wonderful host! The spot was very large, well maintained and level with easy access to all hookups. Leo had a fire pit with all of the wood for fires throughout our stay, it was a great touch. Leo has chickens on his property and allowed our children to go over each day and help to feed and care for them, it really made the kids feel special and was such a great experience for them. We would absolutely recommend anyone to go and stay with Leo while in Vegas. Thank you for everything Leo!!

Full hookups worked perfectly, and you can tell Leo takes pride in keeping everything nice and tidy! Site was spacious and had everything we needed! This campsite was perfect for a stop in our trip with a little more amenities after a few nights of primitive camping. We really appreciated Irma checking in with us when we arrived and her husband came out to greet us and turn off the barn light as well as offer us water and electricity. We also loved having the bathroom and hot shower. Overall a cute little stop surrounded by nature and beautiful mountains.
