My friend and I really liked this spot! We had the first spot when you pull in. It felt private and was just across the driveway from the stream. Water levels were low but we still put our chairs in and dunked our feet to cool off. Lots of crayfish - That part of the stream would be fun for kids to play in with nets! Outhouse was clean and conveniently located. A beautiful property. I would definitely recommend this spot and plan to visit again soon. Thanks guys!

My friends and I were looking for a relaxing place to reconnect with nature and spend a girly weekend together. We had high expectations for this place and somehow there were exceeded! The property is beautiful, the bunkie is very cozy, you have all the utensils for a simple meal with the bbq, the sauna+hot tub were divine, and Angie and Bob are amazing hosts! We had fresh eggs in the morning and got to stargaze during the night :) Highly recommended! We want to be back! Thanks for everything.

Josh greeted us right away and showed up to our site. We were right on the river which was so much fun for my two boys (8 & 4). We were right beside the river crossing so there was some vehicle activity through the day from people working and moving things around the farm. Everyone who passed by took the time to stop and chat with the kids about what they were up to, it was very kind. We loved catching crayfish in the river, the outhouse was close by and clean too.

This site was beautiful! Sheltered, but not too much! Lots of flies this year, but flies were bad everywhere this year! The river is shallow at the site, and not far down the river it opens up! Kayaking and floating were what we spent most of our time doing! The wood was dry, great for burning and we loved the option of buying our wood all at once with options for how much we needed! Lots of space on the site and to roam around! If you forget anything it’s just a 5 minute drive to Hanover! We will definetly be coming back! We were a party of 5, and a dog! They were very accommodating when I told them about our GSD(she is reactive). The owner made it clear she just wanted us to really enjoy our time there and we definetly did!

What a beautiful spot! Stayed with my kids for a few days, they didn’t want to go on day trips, they just wanted to play in the water! I was able to relax on the hammock or the swinging benches while keeping an eye on them. The hosts are amazing people ❤️ so thoughtful and kind.

This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River. -RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under -a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'! Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.

The bush area has been used for camping by many local and visiting scouting groups over the years. In 2021, we joined Hip Camp and now allow others to enjoy the beauty, peace, and challenges of camping in our bush. The alpacas are a peaceful herd to watch as they graze their way through the day.
