While on a family backpacking excursion through Sequoia King’s Canyon National Park, and the surrounding area, we came across this charming campground. A long-forgotten chapel in the mountains that was formerly a summer camp.
From here, a short 15-minute drive will take you directly to the main entrance of Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park for access to the Giant Sequoias at Grant Grove and the Grant Grove Village. For those who prefer to travel off the beaten path, a short 30-minute hike will take you to the National Forest.
We are excited to invite you to camp at this hidden gem, while we undertake to restore the campground to its original splendor.
Easy drive to available parking, with easy access and pull through drive for any vehicle, even with trailers.
For campers bringing their own tents, we provide beautiful and well- shaded sites with level ground, soft grass, tucked underneath the many old-growth trees.

Relax after a long day in our jacuzzi bathtub.
Our home is 1622 sq ft with plenty of space to make yourself comfortable. As you walk into our home you will see our open living room and oversized couch. You’ll then immediately see our kitchen and dining room. Our kitchen table seats 4 and we have 2 barstools in the kitchen for the bar area. Down the hallway you’ll see our first bedroom with a Queen size bed, the laundry room, and a hallway bathroom. Then straight ahead you’ll see our master bedroom with a bathroom a walk-in closet, full bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Our home does have AC/Heating by mini split units that are all new & purchased & installed in June 2022 and are maintained monthly.
We also have 2 twin folding beds that can be set up in either bedroom or the living room. Purchased August 2022 for additional sleeping.
Ring cameras are located on the outside of the property. No cameras are inside.
Enjoy a nice evening on the front patio enjoying nature.
A propane barbeque is located on the front porch.
Absolutely no smoking on the property. Wildfires are common in & around the area & Three Rivers is a very high-risk area. Three Rivers has faced evacuation warnings in both 2020 & 2021 due to local raging wildfires.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING/FIRES ON/NEAR THE PROPERTY.
BE ADVISED - Sequoia National Park has received significantly more snow and rain than normal this year (2023), which has resulted in some damage to some roadways within the park. MAKE SURE TO REVIEW THE SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK WEBSITE FOR CURRENT PARK CONDITIONS INFORMATION PRIOR TO BOOKING.

We love all things spooky so we have tried to bring the old magic of the woods into our little cabin. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths tucked into a small community. We are motivated by a love of nature & a respect for it. A wood burning hot tub is tucked in between the pines offers a soak after a day of exploring our beautiful Southern Sierra.
Before forewarned, if it’s in the winter, we get a lot of snow. We highly suggest a an all-wheel-drive vehicle or definitely chains on a 2 wheel dr. vehicle.

We had such a wonderful stay at Cabin Grimm, and really loved the decor! It felt like every time you entered a room, you noticed new details that you hadn't seen the last time. The cabin had everything that we needed, and was clean and comfortable. Gabby is an excellent host -- she was proactive in sharing all the details that we would need to plan ahead for. Weekend Trip to The Mountain Chapel Campground
The Mountain Chapel Campground was fantastic! I stayed at the Rustic Cabin. It was very simple, but great. No frills but had everything I needed. Comfortable bed, clean linens, a couple chairs, a table, shelves, a desk. Close enough to walk along a well-lit path to the nice tile showers with hot water. I would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Sequoia Secluded Escape
Kiley is super super quick to respond. The cabin was overall good but slightly more rustic than I had imagined. Our generator failed in the middle of the night in the second night which I think was just bad luck but meant we had no WiFi, which meant no signal at all in this area!
There is cooling and a fan.
It is right by Sequoia and King’s Canyon parks, but the drive from Three Rivers to the cabin ends up taking about 25 minutes extra.
My one thing to improve- the towels were really nice but the bedsheets were polyester which I really hate, and made it super sweaty given the heat!
View of the stars is amazing and super quiet up there, although the swamp cooler was pretty loud

2 nights at Sequoia Secluded Escape
We loved our two day stay in Kiley’s mini cabin. It had everything we needed while we were visiting Sequoia National Park. We used the kitchenette and the grill. Kiley was super responsive and answered all our questions. I will just say that the 25 minute road from Three Rivers to the cabin was daunting and very curvy and tight.

We loved how secluded we felt on this trip. The area was beautiful and our dogs were able to run around freely. We appreciated that we could leave our dogs in the cabin and explore the national park. We had some complications with power, but our host was so quick to respond and get it fixed. We had a lovely trip!

Kiley is genuinely the nicest person that couldn’t do enough for us and our comfort. The sight is cute and romantic. Communicate well in advance about directions, the drive up is challenging but be patient and you’ll be rewarded. The cabin has WiFi and a heat pump to counter the high day-temperatures. The shower and toilet were new with very clean towels. Bedding was comfy and very clean, bring your own bedding. We had our own sleeping bags. Our dogs loved it and the site is scenic and breathtaking. I admire and respect Kileys efforts to make our off grid stay a grand one.

Located in a beautiful mountain landscape, this little cabin along with 2 others is off the beaten path surrounded by tranquility. The cabins are tidy and have what you need for a night or more. This is remote so they rely on solar and a generator to keep the lights on and the water warm. Kylie is an amazing host very kind and friendly. We met one of the dogs Herbert, who is the sweetest!

We had such a memorable time at Kiley’s cabin! It was cozy and very clean. The views are incredible from the deck. The directions she gave us were perfect, we had no trouble finding the place. I would absolutely rent this cabin again. The only negative is that the wifi was really patchy, so bring a hotspot if you need internet.

Weekend Trip to Sequoia Secluded Escape
The cabin is about 7 miles up Mineral King Road which takes about 30 minutes. It's a beautiful drive especially if you stop along the way to take in the canyon views, river that runs through it, and the beauty of the bridge. The cabin itself is perfect place to escape the bussiness of the city. We LOVED the deck chairs that reclined allowing us to star gaze every night. I also sat on top of the picnic table to meditate and watch the sun rise and set over the mountains. Stove, fridge, coffee press, and heater were size appropriate along with the comfy bed. The spring fresh water tastes delicious and a deer grazing and napping on the lawn was such a peaceful part of our experience. Thank you for our time away. Next year, we will be back to explore Silver City and Mineral King Ranger Station.
