Forty five years ago, our family started assembling 400 acres of woods and fields on the banks of the beautiful Androscoggin River. We enjoy actively managing the property for wildlife habitat and tree growth. The diverse landscape includes over 1/2 a mile of river frontage, a 10 acre wildlife pond, rolling hills in the meadows and steep forested terrain with more than 10 miles of multi-use trails running throughout. Our lands have long been open to local hikers, bikers and cross country skiers, we are excited to share this beautiful property with a larger community. Scout for wildlife and birds, on our private 400 acres of forests and fields. Tire yourself by hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing the 10 miles of private trails. Located across the river from Riverlands State Park, just minutes from Lewiston-Auburn, Bates College, local breweries and just 2 1/2 hours from Boston. Wildlife abounds both on the property and across the river at Androscoggin Riverlands State Park. Quite often, a gentle breeze off the water will offer relief from black flies and mosquitoes, but the right bug repellent is recommended especially to fend off those pesky ticks that are so common in Maine.

This tiny cabin on wheels overlooks meadows on the shores of the beautiful Androscoggin River. The tiny cabin is a HEATED wooden structure with a queen size bed plus a small sleeping loft, a kitchen table and large picture windows to gaze at the expansive views. Please be sure to come with bedding or sleeping bags. There is no electricity, but several LED lanterns, an ice cooler, a 2 burner propane camping cookstove, 5 gallon BPA-free water jug are provided. A dedicated porta pottie is located nearby. A JOTUL gas fired fireplace should keep you toasty warm. Scout for wildlife and birds, on our private 400 acres of forests and fields. It's like staying over at your cool grandpa's property on the river. This is not a campground, it's even better. Just 3 tent sites directly on the river, quiet peaceful and beautiful. Lots of private trails to stroll and explore directly from camp. Site one has a bit more shade than the others, for tent campers there is one or two mostly flat spots to pitch a tent. The rest is on bit of a slope. Easy access to the water just down a small hill, great for a dip or paddling. Clean portapotty at the site with a metal trash can was very convenient. John was super nice and friendly, came down to chat a bit after we arrived and before we left. Overall it feels like you are way up in the wilderness while still being close to civilization. Only negative was some highway noise in the evening and occasional gunshots in the distance. 4.5/5 for this spot! Would stay again.
