WILD3R Camp for a Cause
My daughter and I absolutely loved camping here. The tents were gorgeous and they had fire cooking supplies and lots of small touches that you could see the care and thought put into it. Listening to the owl and coyotes at night was amazing. Plenty of land to explore and cozy furniture by the fire.

This was by far my favorite hipcamp I've been to in a while! If you're new to camping or just looking for a peaceful place to unwind this is the perfect spot! Everything you could possibly need was taken care of like an outdoor kitchen, firewood, and a composting toilet. Jess + Elizabeth are phenomenal hosts that go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a great stay!
I highly recommend adding on their equine experience even if you've never had prior interactions with horses. You'll go through a very healing + beginner friendly session with their therapy horses! No matter how much (or little) you choose to do, you'll leave feeling more relaxed + in tune with yourself. I cannot recommend the WILD3R Camp enough!
We had such a wonderful time at WILD3R Camp! It was our first time "camping" with our 2 yo and 5 yo and this was the perfect way to start. The tent was perfect with two single beds and one full and still space for a small table and our clothes. We added on the kids kit and they included some books, rocking horse, stuffies and kids camp chairs. Our kids loved all of it! We also rented the camping kit and so didn't need to bring anything but food which was also a win.
I wasn't sure how the 'hill' up the campsite would be but it is not that big and my 2 year old could walk up it. It added to the adventure aspect. Their property was lovely and the campsites were nicely spaced out so you felt secluded.
We also did the horse experience was a wonderful introduction to horses for our boys who had never seen horses up close. Jess and her partner did an amazing job making them feel comfortable around the horses and making it memorable.
Jess was very responsive and helpful. Overall a wonderful experience that I highly recommend and we can't wait to go back to!

A nice mix of hike in and glamping. Make sure you take all your water, fuel, snacks, etc with you, but it’s such a cozy environment to stay in. Our hosts were wonderful and met us even when we pulled up late at night.
We arrived after dark and Jessica was in the parking lot to meet us. She was very kind and informative. The walk to the camp site is not for the faint of heart. Jessica suggested that we leave some things behind until morning as the hill is quite steep. We had a rolling cooler with a bin bungee corded to the top. Also had a beach wagon to load our things, and a small dolly with 2 smaller bins. We also each had a backpack with personal effects. It was a very difficult hike up the hill pulling our wheeled bins. Even with my husband, 2 kids and Jessica helping. It had rained earlier so things were a little muddy and slick which probably made it worse. The first 1/2 of the hill is very steep then it becomes more gradual and manageable near the top. I don’t think any of the reviews i read truly described the hike to your campsite very well. It would be best to treat this as a backpacking trip.
The tents were lovely and comfortable and well appointed. We did not have a picnic table at our site though i had emailed prior to confirm there was one. We had a small patio set with a small coffee table.
The fire pit was great and had a cooking grate over it.
The toileting facilities were less than desirable. It was a small hunting tent with a small portable composting toilet, a small garbage can for your toilet paper and a small table with hand sanitizer and baby wipes.
There is absolutely no running water and no electricity.
There is a small water cooler at the bottom of the hill for fresh water. It states there is hot water but it is really room temperature and you have to hike up and down the hill to access it. Also remember to bring something to put the water in.
Camp is very remote and quiet and tents are spread apart so that’s nice for privacy.
I would only recommend this site for experienced campers that don’t mind truly roughing it.
This is NOT glamping. Jessica was lovely and very helpful.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience camping with my 8 year old. The drive was beautiful and the parking area felt welcoming with the colorful plants integrated into the natural landscaping.
We were met promptly by Jessica who led us up the hill to our campsite. It was just like in the pictures - clean, welcoming and my kid loved it right away. They had many other accommodations at the campsite including a big table (for food prep and eating), chairs, and a grill grate over the fire pit. Lots of lights in the tent as well. I was able to leave several of our packed items in the car.
The forest is absolutely beautiful. Trails were defined yet not so defined that you felt like you were making it your own. The composting toilets were as clean and inviting as they can be. The lights helped make it a fun experience and we had no issues.
We were there when it was raining which made the climb up a bit challenging. I recommend good hiking boots with treads and definitely hike everything in. I made the mistake of using a wagon to haul stuff up and I'd it wasn't for nice people, I would have yard-saled on the way up. I learned my lesson and hiked everything down, no issue. My kid helped too, but definitely a lesson I learned the hard way.
The nearby town, Mt. Horeb is worth the trip. Grumpy Troll has good food, just get there early if Wisconsin is playing football. Sugar Troll is also worth a visit. I had a hard time finding a store in town with fire fuel after I used mine up, so bring what you need. Jessica came to our aid and helped get a fire started for us on Saturday night. Many thanks to her!
I would 100% go back. My child wanted a chill time and that is exactly what we got.

The walk was too far from our vehicles & so many spiders we had to deal with its glamping the rugged way but the tent was very clean no issues,Did not care for the outdoor bathroom how to walk a good distant for that also my advice bug spray & off and you will be fine the host was very nice & always fast on responding .
A beautiful drive to the campsite through rolling hills, with heritage farms all around you. Arrived to a delightful wooded setting. Expansive sturdy tents, thoughtfully curated with comfort items. Our site had a swing away grill over our fire pit so we didn't even need the smoky joe we brought, and firewood was provided and plentiful. Fairy lights at the tents and unique decorations on the trails enhance the magical setting, with fireflies and butterflies floating around you. It's rustic, no running water or electricity...but isn't that why you camped in the first place? With cold and hot water available on demand at the bottom of the hill, you're covered. My one piece of advice is to bring a cooler with wheels and a willingness to exert yourself for a short climb...there is a brief uphill hike to the top of the ridge where the sites are located from the parking area. It's worth it for the feeling of seclusion and privacy you won't find at a state park. And nothing beats arriving to a tent that's ready to go for you. Our hosts were kind and gracious. We daytripped to Devil's Lake and had a blast.

The hospitality was wonderful! So much to explore right on the property. We stayed there through a fair amount of rain and an all-night-long thunderstorm - we felt safe and secure (and stayed dry) in the tent. We did the horse experience with our two kids (4 and 7) and Jess and Elizabeth were patient, warm, and thoughtful facilitators. Our kids loved it. We’d love to come back!
Jess & Elizabeth have a beautiful piece of land that we were fortunate to enjoy during our mother/daughter weekend getaway. The tent is great, the site is large and the surroundings are incredible! We will definitely recommend to friends.

What an amazing place to relax! I stayed in site 1. The bed was super comfy, the tent was sooo cute, and there was even a couch! The hosts were also so kind and thoughtful with the extra touches they put in. I highly recommend packing your belongings in a backpacking pack or backpack to get it to the camp site. I also recommend bringing food in a rolling cooler. I got perfectly great cell service in my tent which was unexpected and nice. I could have easily stayed there for longer. Highly recommend.
Jessica & Elizabeth were kind & very attentive to our requests. The kitchen kit was a great addition & contained all needed items. It is a walk up a hill for some of the tents, which is great exercise, if you are able. Very peaceful & the tents & beds are awesome! We slept so well on them!
Peaceful and refreshing. The Tent and the place were very peaceful and well maintained. Jessica was so kind and very much understanding as a host. My kids enjoyed the kid friendly tent setup (toy horse and books etc…). The horse interaction arranged by Jessica and Elizabeth were enjoyable. My kids did not want to leave the place. Looking forward for many more trips to this place. Last but not the least fireplace setup and availability of woods was great.
Jessica does a great job at providing a quality glamping experience! This was our first time using Hicamp and it was flawless. We got there later than expected and Jessica still showed us everything we needed to know. She even hiked up to the campsite with us! We stayed 2 nights, but longed for more! If you're looking for q secluded peaceful getaway, look no further.

We had a great time. Even though we were pretty close to the road, the site felt private and it was nice to spend some time “away.” We went for a long walk at Donald County Park, a fifteen minute drive away, and it was gorgeous! Jessica was very helpful with pointing us in the right direction when we arrived.

My Boyfriend and I decided to camp here over Memorial Day weekend to get away for a while and we had a really great time! The land was beautiful and only about 10 minutes from town, there is hiking and biking trails all around, Jess included the parks worth seeing in the info binder. I would definitely recommend to a friend!!
My husband and I had a lovely stay at WILD3R camp. The woods were abloom with wild geraniums--we camped in a sea of purple. The tent was clean and comfortable. The linens provided by the hosts were a pleasure and the mattress very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed sleeping "outside" without having to set up and sleep on the hard ground. Can't wait to go back!

Fantastic spot! Highly recommend.
Such an incredible getaway in the woods! The tent set up was great and Jessica was so friendly. We got the kids set up add on and the horse encounter experience, both of which my toddler son absolutely loved.
Pro tip: be aware that this site requires a bit of a hike up a hill. It was a difficult to get all our stuff with our 2 year old to the site. (It’s also steep so a wagon or stroller won’t really help).
Four families, one weekend, gentle wind, lovely sun, full of surprises, a weekend of connections. Connecting with each other, connecting with Mother Earth, connecting with Universal Love. This beautiful campsite paired with Horsemanship classes made for one memorable weekend indeed. All four families are scheduling the next camping! There were so many unique, personalized touches to the weekend that make my kids' first camping trip a success. I am not sure that any other camping trip will quite live up to this one! The yurt was about a mile hike. We did the foraging and horse experienes. Jessica was very good about building off the interests of the kids and making them feel comfortable. Both were super fun for the my two prek-age kids and the two adults. The yurt had bedding, a foldout foam coach that we used for beds, tables, books, small toys for the kids, and a rug to make it feel homey. Additional small touches that made the camping even better were sparklers, a package to make the campfire colored, a few snacks, and adult and kid chairs. We also had fun searching for the small figurines throughout the site. I already booked another weekend!

The campsite was great! It had everything we needed and the tents were great. The outdoor furniture at each site was greatly appreciated too!
This place was exactly what I was hoping for! The tents, bedding, and other furniture looked just as crisp and modern and comfy in person as they do in the photos. We really loved our stay, and would totally make an annual tradition of it.

My family had a wonderful weekend at WILD3R camp.
This place was perfect for having fun with my kids.
This is a very beautiful, secluded and interesting glamping set up. Sites are large and every detail well thought out. A short hike in. Very cool area with close access to Wisconsin DNR bike trails. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I were looking to unwind for the weekend and Jessica's place was exactly what we were looking for! She met us at the parking lot and escorted us to the site. The space was so lovely with Tiki torches at the entrance. It was very quiet and private. The yurt was very clean and comfortable. The welcoming kit ( Tea, Hot chocolate, hand warms, hand sanitizer, hand wipes and apples) in the yurt was a very nice touch. She provided the fire wood too. She made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We would definitely come back.
This site was perfect! Everything my boyfriend and I were hoping for. Would recommend 100% and cannot wait to stay here again!
WILD3R Center & Farms exceeded all of my expectations. Our host, Jessica, met my partner and I when we arrived and gave us a quick tour of the area while staying socially distant and wearing masks. Jessica made it known that we could contact her with any questions, and even stopped by to check on us the next day!
Our campsite was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We were provided a picnic table, chairs, a waterproof bin, a fire pit, roasting sticks, and jugs of water outside of the tent. Inside the tent, we were met with a welcome basket complete with snacks, hand sanitizer, hand warmers, extra batteries, books, and lots of great information about the camp itself.
When we weren't cozied up inside the tents, we had lots of fun exploring the land! There is a 1.5 mile hiking loop that is just gorgeous, especially with all of the fall colors popping out right now. There is lots of space to explore and we had plenty of privacy throughout the weekend.
I would recommend this Hipcamp site to anyone who is looking for a middle ground between true camping and glamping. It was a perfect balance of being disconnected from the outside world while also enjoying a comfortable tent with a heater, chairs, and a bed. I can't wait to come back soon!
