*We are a firework-free zone, due to our proximity to the National Forest. Thank you! Welcome to The Trout Camp, aka Fontinalis Farms, a small, family-owned campground nestled beside the Monongahela National Forest on the banks of Big Run and The North Fork River. Our spacious site offers 30 acres to explore, with 15 tent sites and annual RV sites available for reservation. Kids under 16 are free! (just don't count them in your booking) Our campground features a convenient shower house with well water and flush toilets, but we do ask that you bring your own drinking water. Take a dip in the river, cast a line and fish, or simply relax in the serene surroundings. This is one of the best spots at camp. There is easy access to the water down a stone path. You could almost catch a fish from your tent. The bathhouse is about 100m away.

Site 12 is on the North Fork side of the camping area. Enjoy the sound of the river. This is a small site that serves as a companion to Site 13. It is ideal for folks joining groups together. The bathhouse is about 100m away.

This site is closest to the shower house where you will have flush toilets, sinks, showers, and an outdoor dish sink. We suggest you bring your own drinking water. Site number one is between the campground access trail and the willow fields. There is a firepit. ATT cell service is available at all sites. Pets must be on a leash.

Welcome to Number 8. You are close to the spring with frogs and baby fish. If you cross the spring, you will find the mouth of Big Run. This is the far end of the campground with a little walk to the bathhouse.

Site 4 is along the Willow Field, with plenty of Walnut Trees and open space. You will be about 75m from the bathhouse. This spot is perfect for hammocks with many trees. Enjoy the sound of birds in the morning!

RV 5 is in line along the river with 10 other sites. You will have water, electric, and sewer hookups. You are in very close proximity to the bathhouse! Mountain and river views all around. Easy back-in site. Please note, the water is well water with a bit of iron . The bridge to access the campground has a 9 ton weight limit.

For the price, I wouldn’t recommend. The services were pretty minimal and there was no one there to answer questions or provide information. The site was also extremely muddy and not well maintained. I’ve been camping hundreds of times and when we choose a dedicated camp site we usually do so for a little more elevated experience. This is probably the worst campsite we’ve been to — sadly. You could also hear the road right next to the site and every time a car passes by you hear it. Takes away from the experience.

We had a great time at the Trout Camp! Very beautiful setting, peaceful and quiet just a great place to sit and relax listening and watching the wildlife! Trout fishing is available all around the area, at summer water levels now but fall is not far off. The host, Paul was great and we enjoyed meeting and talking with him! We’ll be back in the spring, thanks

The site was great. The shower house was nice. The smell however of the water is a story all its own. Sulfur I’m assuming, was next level bad. When it hit me I was immediately concerned that I should jump out of the shower and get out of the water. We were the only people at the site and again it was nice and relaxing to sit by the stream.

Such a cute and clean campsite! I felt very safe here. Bathrooms were immaculate, every campsite had a fire pit and they had wood for sale by honor system, and they had badminton tents to play. Not too hard to find, just one road past snowy mountain and tucked away. Owners are so kind and helpful!! 10/10 recommend!! As a suggestion, download your maps before you get into the forest as cell service can be limited!!

It’s a great campground. It’s quiet. The owners are responsive and helpful. The camp host, Paul, is a great guy. Got to spend some time talking to him this trip. The campground is a hidden gem in the area. It’s the type of place you don’t want to write reviews for because you want it for yourself. If you have kids that like to run around and explore or you just want a nice place to get away, this is a great place to stay.

The site was quiet and clean. Paul was a great host, he helped us get situated and checked in on us to be sure we settled in. Wished there had been more rain; was looking forward to some fishing, but the owner can't fix that! Thank you for allowing us to use your place.

The tent area is really nice. Very shady, lots of soft grass, and ample space between sites. The owners keep things tidy and the grass mowed. There is a stream right there, in which you can do some quality creek-sittin'. We brought our pop-up. The RV sites were rather close together, but the only other guest was 3 sites down from us and they only stayed one night. RV site #5 is closest to the camp host's trailer, which wasn't great, but they were all friendly and didn't bother us. The opposite end of the RV sites seemed to have a long-term RV guest as well. Didn't see any tent campers at all, but my guess is that this place typically gets busy when the creek is high enough to do some fishing. It was super low when we were there, but I believe there are two sections of the creek that are deep enough to swim around. The bathrooms and showers were clean and operable and equipped with a heater. The bath house itself is an impressive wood slab structure. Don't be discouraged by the Trumpy neighbors, who share the driveway entrance, and their threatening signs about the speed limit. The campground itself is an oasis and the hosts are friendly.

I loved glamping here in a camper van! Everyone was so friendly, the directions were clear, and there was a beautiful creek running right behind our site. Our dogs loved cooling off in the creek, and I was so happy to enjoy a nice shower in the well-cared for bathroom during our stay.

We "splurged" and spent the extra $5-10 to get the owners favorite site, and it was indeed beautiful. Loved being in such a serene meadow, and the fireflies were insane! The only issue was that we were right by a road with cars going shockingly fast (and loud) all through the night. I would love to stay here again, but I wish I knew to bring my earplugs since I'm a light sleeper.

my Husband and I went through tent camping on a recent trip. peaceful quiet campground. We enjoyed the sound of the river in the dark skies. we were able to see and photograph the Milky Way from the big open field. clean Hot showers with good water, pressure, however, it is well water.

Very nicely maintained grounds and bath house. Beautiful streamside site with a view to fireflies in the woods across the road. Yes, some road noise, but really not bad. Firewood for sale on site was convenient. We appreciated there being a picnic table at site 13. Really fun time, and close to NRocks where we did the via ferrata! My friend with ATT had cell phone reception, I didn't with T Mobile. Not many restaurants in the area, make sure to pack in plenty of food as well as water!

It's a great campground, big campsites, we stayed in #9. Could hear the river which was nice. Firewood available to purchase. Has a bathroom with a shower. The host and owners are nice and responsive. Not all sites have a table, fire ring and/or grate so plan accordingly. We'd definitely camp there again. We camped there while visiting Blackwater Falls State Park (one hour), Canaan Valley (45 mins), Seneca Rocks (20 mins) and Spruce Knob (one hour).

the site was well maintained, and backs up right to the river bank. There’s a fire pit, and reasonably priced firewood near by on the grounds. A few step down there’s playing field with a badminton net and a disc golf goal. It’s also close to the trail that leads to a deeper pool in the river for a quick swim. Awesome place.

Trout Camp was very spacious and nice. The camp sites come in all sizes and locations. Some are right next to stream which has great access to waters edge. Other sites are more wooded. The bath house was well kept and to my surprise had a heater going each morning! 💕 I solo camped one of the nights and felt very safe.
