There are a lot of campsites in this park even so I’m still felt like we had privacy. All the other campers were well-behaved and quiet. I think most people use this as primarily an evening spot while out exploring during the day.

Tent site G lacked a large flat ground space for our large tent. The host was very gracious and allowed us to change sites to accommodate us. The bathrooms got dirty fast but it was raining and muddy so it was expected. The kindness of the host far exceeded any negatives. We were able to use the showers and laundry facility which were great.

The site was as described and clean and level with full rv hook ups. Worked with our pop-up tent trailer and truck. Bathrooms were clean, laundry option was great to have. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy location for exploring Lake Crescent or Hurricane Ridge. Spots are close together but level and graveled. Lots of road noise and mosquitoes, but not too bad in the middle of the night. My mixed feelings come from the long term residents that live further up at the park. With little kids I was definitely more on the look out. Random cars often driving past and twice sheriff vehicles circled in the evening. We also smelled folks smoking weed, which we aren’t into and wasn’t pleasant when you’re stuck outside and can’t escape it.

We loved this campground! Really well maintained with nice bathrooms and showers. Delicious ice cream and the store was really convenient for essentials. We loved that it was close to East Beach and Cresant Lake.

I stayed at Forest Site F for three nights during a trip to Olympic NP. The site is beautiful with moss and ferns everywhere. Staci's description of the site and note of being close to the highway is definitely something to consider if you're sensitive to noise, but it didn't bother me. I wish the camp sites were a little more dispersed because you were pretty close to neighbors, but everyone was really friendly.
The land was a perfect spot to be at, super close to the lake and a good middle point to check all the hikes at Olympic NP. The bathrooms and showers were great and cleaned regularly. Having the General Store for last minute items and fire wood was awesome. Also there are two little kitties that live there that are so cute and sweet 🥹 I only wish we had time for kayak rentals!

Very clean camp site and bath house. Original site was too tight but management kindly moved me to a more suitable site which I appreciated. Decent central location for a first time visit to the Olympic Pinnisula. I would stay there again without hesitation.

The site was great. Beautiful campsite with good amenities. The location is just a little close to the main road, so we heard periodic logging trucks during the night. Other than that, the campsite was excellent!

The actual campsite itself is magical. To be nestled in the trees with the ferns and moss and string lights. The bathrooms and showers are probably the nicest I’ve seen at a campsite. The general store is an actual general store with essentials and items you might have forgotten at home, versus just a gift shop like I’ve experienced at other locations. The host and the reviews have already informed you about the highway noise. Between my mattress pad and ear plugs I slept in until 10 AM the first night. So just be aware and plan ahead if you are sensitive to noise. Campsite is also within 45 minutes of Sol Duc Falls and hot springs. I would definitely stay here again, thank you so much Staci for working with us and getting our group’s campsites next to each other. Site’s C, D, and E were PERFECT 🤩

Complete trash park sites are awful not level at all they have no business booking trailers more then 20ft roads are super narrow with all back in sites and terrace set up with steep drop offs sites aren't level at all ended up having my trailer slide off the narrow road into a tree and the host could absolutely care less. 0 stars avoid at all costs. Mostly trashy old rvs and trailers of long term tenants. Definitely not a park for families. Saw the reviews decline on rv life and should have listened to my gut and I would still have an awning on my 5th wheel only by luck and the help of another camper was the damage not far worse. Avoid at all costs!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars – Great Base Camp for Exploring Olympic National Park
We stayed at Shadow Mountain RV Park for six nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Its central location makes it an excellent base camp for exploring Olympic National Park. We were able to visit attractions on both the east and west sides of the park without spending all day on the road.
The park is clean, well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. During the day, there is some traffic noise from the nearby road, but it quiets down in the evening, making it enjoyable to relax outside.
If you’re traveling in a larger RV, be aware that the sites are fairly tight. We were able to fit our 40-foot Country Coach in a site on the lower tier, but I don’t think we would have fit comfortably in the upper-tier sites. I recommend requesting a lower-tier site when making your reservation if you have a large motorhome.
A fun bonus is the general store, which has an excellent ice cream shop. It’s definitely worth stopping in for a treat after a day of sightseeing.
Overall, this is a great campground in a convenient location, and we would definitely stay here again.

The campground was great and had some really nice touches like bistro lights and hammocks at all the sites. The bathrooms were really bright and clean - the nicest camp bathrooms I have seen! It is right off the highway, but the noise was not bad. Earplugs were useful but not a necessity. Having a general store steps away made this trip very easy and convenient!

Most of the sites seemed good. Unfortunately sites 1-4 were on a hill and impossible to get level. Location was great! Cell service was just enough to be frustrating. Try and do something but can’t look up anything. With the lack of cell service we tried to ask the employee at the store about Olympic and she unfortunately wasn’t able to help us.

Too close. All camp sites were right next to each other. So close people were confusing your electric box and water as their own. One bathroom facility that had 2 toilets per sex for over 60 sites. Quiet hours were not enforced.

I had done my research previously so I was well aware of the road noise and fireworks over the Fourth of July weekend and came prepared. Had ear plugs and slept soundly! The bathrooms were well maintained, check-in was extremely easy, and having the general store right there was very convenient! The campground felt relatively quiet and peaceful (other than the fireworks of course! But those are to be expected, it’s 4th of July!). We loved that the campground put on a firework displace on the 4th! My only comment about the site itself was that there wasn’t a really good flat spot to set up a tent - we ended up moving the table and only had a small 2 person backpacking tent so it didn’t need much room - but any larger of a tent would have been very hard to find a good spot to set up in this location. Great location overall and had a wonderful stay!

The staff was beyond courteous and kind, the grounds were very well kept there was absolutely no trash. The 101 being right next door was rather quite at night and I didn’t notice the noice aside from nature.

The highway noise wasn’t all that bad, especially if you have expectations for it going in. The convenience of the general store and the clean bathrooms/showers was amazing. The drive-in sites are definitely close together, but we had minimal issues with neighbors. Using this camp as an affordable base for adventuring into ONP was absolutely perfect for us. Would definitely consider coming back.
