Site 7 - Cascade River Retreat
Very roomy campsite with plenty of trees and privacy between sites. Clean outhouses. Friendly host. Close drive to town for groceries and gas.

We had the whole place to our place during our stay which was fantastic! Host was great to give us privacy. Awesome base-camp for North Cascade adventures. My pup and I enjoyed the river, easily spent our time there after our hikes.
We had a visit from an offleash husky on 2nd day morning (not sure if it’s the owners). He was quite friendly and got along with my pup well (something to keep in mind if your dog does well with other dog).
3rd day- he came back early morning-we were still asleep, but saw peeping his head through the mesh opening. Again, we didn’t mind-but he also urinated on all corners of our tent-which left us with heavy urine smell-I did manage to wash it off afterwards, but smell did linger on our tent.
Other than that incident-place was quiet & peaceful (again we were the only one there). Site 7 is the most private, 8-10 is next 1-6 is more open.

Pleasant smaller campground near a beautiful river. Heather was good host and our propane fireplace was ready for us when we showed up.

Spacious site, very nice host, fun river side playtime for the kids! The decision to add a propane fire pit during the fire ban was well worth it. You might also want to plan your time to use the restroom in the early morning as all campers share this one. Overall very positive experience and we'd love to come back in the future.

Site 3 - Cascade River Retreat
This is a wonderful Hipcamp with large sites, very family friendly with kids running, and a lovely little trail down to the river. My friends and I were in 2 sites and we all had a great time with our dogs at the river.
There is also a very clean outhouse and a little playground.

Site 4 - Cascade River Retreat
Heather communicated well with us from reservation to the day of. Her place is clean, well-kept including the pit toilet. Every spot is a short walk to the river with breathtaking views and several areas where getting in feels both safe and fun for all/most ages. She even has gorilla carts to haul down to the river and walk-in camp sites. Great place to unplug for a few days, and one we’ll keep in mind for future camping trips.

The sites are well shaded, with excellent, tall trees. The river being nearby is good too. Our trip was cut short so we weren’t able to explore too much. Navigating the property is a little confusing and odd, and the amenities are a little lacking. Having one toilet for a large campground makes for long lines in the morning and evening, and could smell it from a few sites away. Our site wasn’t the most level either.

Walk in site 14
10/10 would recommend Cascade River Retreat. We were at site 14 by the river and love being so close to the river. Watching the sunset by the river was so great and the water is chilly but a refreshing dip. We stayed 2 nights, the first night had a few other campers on site and the second night the campground definitely filled up but was still very quiet. Very convenient location in Marblemount, close to gas stations and restaurants, and pretty direct drive to North Cascade.

Walk in Site 12
This campground was an amazing experinece. It is very well maintained with lots of wonderful sites. My partner and I spent 2 nights in site 12 and we would recommend any of the walk-in campsites. The trail is not too long and very manageable to bring lots of equipment using the carts provided. The river access was amazing as well with beautiful views and refreshing water. We had a great time!

It’s a very cute campground. A lot of more people than I expected stayed there. The only downfall was the one pit toilet for the number if people staying.

Site 2 - Cascade River Retreat
I car camped on Heather's land for a couple of nights, and found the site was roomy and it was very quiet. The camp ground was conveniently located a couple of miles from the town of Marblemount (with food and fuel services and decent enough cell service to provide internet access) and about 16 miles from the North Cascades NP Visitor Center. My site was a very short walk to the Cascade River. Heather does have walk-in sites located along or near the river itself.
Google Maps found the camp ground for the most part. I was arriving after dark, and had to pay close attention to signage directing me toward the land as I was unfamiliar with the area. The camping area is on Heather's land... you basically drive past her home (I believe) to get to the private camp ground area. Again, since it was dark, I had to pay extra attention to find the camping area. During daylight, it was much more apparent.

Sites on the river are tight but having your morning tea on the river is priceless. We've been there 2 years in a row and met some really nice people.

I absolutely love this spot. Everything is well marked, the toilet is kept very clean, and the river is absolutely amazing and a short walk from camp. I could not recommend this place more, and I will most certainly be back again

It was a lovely, spacious site near the stunning river. It was super easy to navigate and the wagons were perfect for transporting everything. Would definitely book again!

This was a great camping experience. Although the individual sites were not super private, the camp ground was very peaceful and beautiful. The facilities were great, the river was lovely, and we had a delightful visit. We would go again!

We loved this campsite for tent and car camping. The toilet is well maintained and the river was a short (and lit at night) walk from our site. Our site was close to others but we had good neighbors so no complaints there. There were some pups roaming off leash at times but they were friendly. Would highly recommend if you are visiting the North Cascades

Overall, I had a good experience - super close to North Cascades! The site has a toilet and picnic tables - didn’t stay long enough to see the property as I spent all my time in the park :)

Definitely would stay again! It was nice to be off the main road and the river sunset and sunrise was beautiful! It was our first “tent” experience for our littles (2 and 1). Site 15, 16, and 17 are pretty close together, so just keep that in mind. Would have booked a different one by the river if I would have known that but our neighbors were great! I was more worried about our children disturbing them but they did pretty well!

Our site, #10, was large enough for 3 two person tents. We enjoyed the river, the propane fire pit, and the beautiful forested grounds. The port a potty was clean. Great location to all the great hikes. Would return again!

Loved this spot. It was a bit more secluded from other campsites which was nice for us. The host Heather was super sweet and we were able to rent a propane fireplace for a couple nights since there was a burn ban. Loved the easy access to the river. They thankfully had 4 hand carts avail to haul our stuff down the path to our site so we didn't have to carry it all. Had a great couple nights!

We loved tent camping on Heather’s land. We stayed at the walk-in sites next to the river. Carts were provided to help you carry your things from the car to the site, which was a huge plus. The bathroom was well maintained and easy to access from our site. We would definitely recommend this spot!
