We are a maple sugar, beautiful farm with a majestic view of the mountains and sunsets. We have 5 sites for tents. There are 2 sites available along the west side of our maple forest, beautiful sunset views. . Also, 2 sites on the north side , with awesome morning sunrises glistening across the meadow. These 2 site can be excellent for parties of 6-10 with several tents. Tree hammock at these sites. Our newest tent site is “Pine Hollow”. Very secluded under massively high pines. It’s the sugar-maker’s favorite. Sunset views are only 100 ft away. Our cabin at Kozy Korner is popular for those that want the rustic life but a little comfort. It has a double bed , sheets and pillows available for you to make. Box is in cabin. One should follow the “ tent sites” sign, drive up hill. After 2 tent sites, you will see the cabin, At the bottom of our driveway, Just 150 steps away west, across the street ( before the black mail box) there is access to a refreshing swim hole in the Poultney River . Verlaska Farm is approx 2 miles to the Fairgrounds trailhead of Slate Valley Trails. Our farm is 2 1/2 miles from Poultney Village, where there are restaurants and a couple of awesome pubs! (Poultney Pub and Toads Burger Bar). Restaurants , Rail Trail Eatery and Perry’s , also have delicious food. Lake St Catherine is a “ stones throw” away, approx. 4 1/2 miles. Lake Bomoseen is a distance of 10 miles. Our amenities include hot shower, bike rinse off station, charging devices station, port a potty, communal campfire, propane grill , paper plates and cutlery and seasonings. Picnic tables at all sites, chairs at all sites.

Site 2 is situated on shady side of maple mound , sunset views. Adjacent site is near by for group camping, if need be. Showers, campfire , port a potty available. Also, charging station, and a short walk from driveway to swimming hole!

Canopy of Maples, site# 1 west side

Site #1. Is along the west side nestled under a canopy of the Maple Mound ( 5 acres of maple trees). Beautiful sunsets seen from here. There is a picnic table, chairs, and plenty of shady area for tenting. At this individual site approx 20’x20’. There is no hook ups but , we have hot shower, port a potty , bike rinsing station, charging station for devices, for all campers “at the barn” plus community campfire ring, also 150 steps from driveway to a great swimming hole in the Poultney River .

Forest canopy Northside site #3

Site 3 is on north side of maple forest. Shady canopy! Has picnic table, chairs, and plenty of room for any size tent. You can adjust where table is, if you want, as long as you don’t go into site 4. You have use of community campfire down by barn, no camp fires at site. Also, hot showers, port a potty charging station, grill use

Site #4. Is nestle under shady maples as all the others are. Site 3 and 4 is nice for groups. No campfires on site. However, community campfire , port a potty, charging station, grill, hot showers are available for your use near entrance , top of driveway. When proceeding uphill, turn right at Kozy Korner , where the cabin is. Sites 3 and 4 are after that.

Cabin is on NW side of Maple Forest! Has large porch with seating and small table! Double ( full size) bed with real sheets and pillows! ( provided) Sleeps 2. There is also a folded cot with a mattress for a single! (Bedding provided as well) Max 3 people. No fires, even though there is a wood burning stove. Husband uses that for hunting season! Communal campfire ring, hot showers , port a potty and charging station down by barn area also included. Still rustic with a touch of home!!!
