Learn more about this land; If you know about the NorthEast Kingdom, you know how beautiful it is here. I have told my wife many times the green is a little greener here in the NEK. My grandfather was a real Vermonter. The best I can remember is that he mainly dealt with horses and bought and sold land. I am sure that he had thousands of acres and I have the last eleven acres in the Martin name. We have many Vermont stories of my grandfather that I would love to share with you. The campsite is set up with a platform for a tent and a fire ring. You will see the brook and woods. You might want to fish for brook trout but make sure you have a fishing license. Or maybe you like to hike here on the property or nearby. The Outdoor Center and the woodlot about a mile away.If you know about the North East Kingdom, you know how beautiful it is here. The campsite is set up with a platform for a six person tent and a fire ring. There are a couple of flat spots if needed for a couple of smaller tents. You will see the brook and woods. You might want to fish for brook trout but make sure you have a fishing license. Or maybe you like to hike here on the property or nearby. The Outdoor Center and the woodlot about a mile away.

Great camping spot! Felt spacious with leveled area to pitch tent. The forest is gorgeous and I enjoyed exploring and sitting by the stream adjacent to camp. Private latrine is a short walk up the road you drive to camp. Another camper mentioned having trouble turning around on the road you drive to the camp; I have a Honda Fit and was able to turn around.

Camping with a brook!

The scenery here is absolutely beautiful. I also wanted to personally thank the hosts for making my weekend stay amidst a fire ban and dry camping conditions still very much enjoyable. The spot is exceptionally private and serene. I loved the private access to the brook and so did one of my dogs. Even in dry conditions, the brook is still lovely. There’s a path the host will lead you down to the campsite. Due to how tight it is, it might not be possible to turn around and you will have to reverse back up the path (about 200 feet or so). Just FYI.

My family loved our time! The babbling brook acted as a lovely playground for my two little girls AND a sound machine for sleeping. The site was tidy and had wood for us to use for fires. Ruth was so kind and showed us all that we needed to know. It was peaceful. No other sites around. Just our own little spot set in the woods. Would come back!

This site was so beautiful and private, I will definitely be back. I came out for the eclipse, and even though it was technically the off season, Ruth was super accommodating and walked me out to the site anyway. It was in great condition, new tent platform, new picnic table/bench, new fire ring. I slept really well, especially with the sounds from the brook that runs next to the site. I was vising my kid at the college, so I didn't need to use the facilities at the camp, but there was a port-a-potty near the head of the trail that leads to the campsites.

Terry and Ruth are amazing hosts. The campsite is as private as anyone could want. Surrounded by mature Maple trees and with a babbling brook to lull you to sleep and a nice firepit the campsite couldn't be more picturesque. I was attending a professional conference at the Craftsbury Outdoor center and this site, only minutes away, made for a wonderful and very affordable trip.
