The property is in Cumberland County, TN, is mostly wooded, and the Caney Fork River is on the property. River access is available with a short/moderate hike. The location is outside of the nearest town by about 20 minutes. A dollar general and gas station are about a 10 minute drive. Suggestions: 1. Bug spray may be helpful. 2. Bring extra firewood if you plan to cook over the fire. There is plenty of pine if you would like to gather it yourself but very little hardwood downed. I will provide a few starter logs. 3. Bring water if you are opposed to drinking well water. There is an outdoor faucet close to the campsites for well water. This is a bring in, take out experience...trash, towels, sanitary waste, etc. There is an additional $10 charge for leaving litter- this includes cigarettes. I live onsite and am available for questions most anytime. Sparta, TN is just 30 minutes away and is a small town full of interesting shops, restaurants, and of course, waterfalls! https://www.spartatn.gov/

Caney Fork River is on the property! Foraging edibles, herbs, medicinal plants, and mushrooms can also be found on the property. This primitive camp site is nestled in the forest with a large moss patch just behind the camping area. The campsite has a 10x8 concrete pad, space for a tent, and fire pit. A tent will fit either on the concrete pad or on ground near the pad. There is also adequate space for two hammocks on the site. It is a primitive site but does have access to a water faucet. Site terrain is nearly flat and the property slopes towards the Caney Fork river. This site is secluded from other campsites just off of a private road. Campers have walking access to the Caney Fork River on property by way of a 10 minute moderate hike. Parking for one vehicle is available- if you have more than one vehicle, accommodation can be arranged. Car campers and small RVs (pop-ups or teardrops) will also work on the site. Additional info: Pets are welcome as long as they remain on leash. The location is outside of the nearest town by about 20 minutes. A dollar general and gas station are about a 10 minute drive. The land is a welcoming place and can offer an amazing experience for relaxing, lounging, hiking, etc. There are two waterfalls on the property which are most magnificent just after a rainfall. This is a bring in, take out experience...trash, towels, sanitary waste, etc. There is an additional $10 charge for litter- this includes cigarettes. Caney Fork Camp- Vehicle Site

The vehicle site is large enough for a small RV, a van, or car camping. You will have access to electricity and water. There is no sewer hookup. The site is near a dirt road with very little (if any) traffic. There is a small wooded area on this site to hang hammocks, let your pet play, or just enjoy.

Gorgeous property on the river

Caney Fork River - Primitive Site
Jill was such a lovely host and took the time to greet me and show me around her gorgeous property making me very welcome. I slept peacefully in my hammock and took a hike to the river located at the base of the property.

Caney Fork River - Primitive Site
If you like privacy and nature, this is a good choice. The hosts are helpful and responsive. For an additional fee you can have access to an impressive bathhouse with a composting toilet, sink and shower (I did not try the shower).
