We stayed in this tiny house for fall break - two adults and two kids (6 and almost 2). My boys are already planning their next trip back for fishing and hunting. The hosts are lovely. Cabin has an upstairs loft and downstairs sleeper sofa. Kitchen is fully stocked with cooking gear - just bring some groceries! Easy walk down to the lake front with good shore fishing. My boys loved the hen house! Two really cute rental properties nearby, so not super secluded. The back of the house opens into lovely forest, and there’s a really great trail up onto the hill that was an easy enough hike for our 6yo. We can’t recommend this place highly enough!!

I cannot say I was happy with my 4 night stay. First what was right: the air conditioning worked very well, the hot water/shower were wonderful, and the wi-fi worked well. It was mostly quiet except for mowing one day.
But, there are a LOT of maintenance issues that made my stay disappointing. I had to use my own bug spray and tuck my bags around the front door to reduce the incredible amount of bugs that were crawling across the floor (numerous on the first two days until I got it under control). I had to rig a way to cover the kitchen window and the edges of the patio door at night. I am sure I am not the only person who gets creeped out by uncovered windows at night. There were dirty and wet dishes in the cupboards and the fridge and stove were less than clean, so how could this place have possibly been sanitized to COVID standards? (I have had some sort of flu since shortly after arriving home, quite possibly caught from there.) The carpet around the bed is like sandpaper on your knees (and you have to crawl in the loft due to how low the ceiling is.) The coffee maker was broken and there were no shower supplies (but the owner did remedy these two). The can opener did not work. The pans had handles about to fall off and there was no supplied screwdriver to remedy. The kitchen window would not close or lock. It actually rose on its own and screeched while doing so one time and scared the wits out of me. The screened porch supposed to keep one safe from flying insects had a top corner where the screen was torn and wasps (and likely other) bugs were getting in. I would have also appreciated being told the road was closed due to flooding the day of my arrival to save me time, gas and frustration in getting there, but the owner did not tell me and I had to backtrack and take an alternate route, losing a good half hour in doing so.
I chose to book through Hipcamp and chose the days I did because it said I would get a $10 a night discount for weeknights and I did not get the discount. This place has potential but the owners are not taking good care of it. I tried to get my discount and talked to owner in private first but she was rude and refused. In my opinion, look elsewhere. This was not worth the money I spent to stay there.

It was a great relaxing getaway. Very peaceful. We enjoyed walking down to the lake. The cabin was just perfect. We would love to stay here again.

We loved so much about our stay in the tiny house. There is room to roam around the beautiful land, access to the water just across the street, a fire pit and grill, sweet animals, and anything else you could need!
The screened in porch was awesome for watching the afternoon rain or the sunset. Our almost 2 year old loved playing on the porch and the house was safe and roomy enough as well.
There were plenty of spots to fish from and enjoy the beautiful views of the water.
Can’t wait to come back and try more of the water activities offered.

We had an amazing getaway. I wanted to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday with memories he could cherish for a lifetime. Getting away from the city and spending time together as a family in this perfect, tiny house did the trick. Stars at night, beautiful views of the lake and all the trees. We felt secluded and safe. Thank you to the wonderful hosts for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

This place was so cute and the hosts were very accommodating. I wasn’t expecting it to be quite as close to their house as it was but we never actually saw anyone so it still felt private. I could see how being that close would make people feel safe, I was just expecting it to be a little further but again, it was never an issue. The kids loved visiting with the guinies (not sure of spelling) and the rooster. We loved walking down the the water and fishing as well as hiking through the woods. The only downside was the WiFi wasn’t working and that caused a little stress because with little kids, I was kind of counting on that to watch their favorite movies at bedtime (and when it was raining) so with it being out, it made it a little more stressful than bedtime is at home. But, it was just bad timing for us and they are going to get it fixed so that shouldn’t be an issue for anyone else. One of our kids is 2 and the ladder going up to the loft bedroom was her favorite thing. That stressed me out a little too and I probably should have thought of that before booking. I don’t know if i would recommend it for little kids but my 7 year old was perfectly fine with it. We will definitely come back but hopefully next time my husband and I can get away by ourselves and this would be perfect.

Rebekah, Brunner and Molly are great hosts! Very nice and friendly! We have already recommended many friends and family to stay at the tiny cabin! It was so cute a quaint! We enjoyed our hiking and bay strolls! Very family and kid friendly !

This place was perfect. A secluded cabin in the woods with a view was what we wanted and it was what we got! The chickens and guineas visiting were an extra treat.

Being a single mom I wanted to stay somewhere safe. This exceeded my expectations. I felt comfortable and safe the entire time. I couldnt have asked for a more warm and inviting place to stay. Rebekah is very sweet and made herself available even if she wasnt needed. If we forgot anything it was already there. My kids loved being around the beagles and chickens. We will definatly be back!!
