My hip camper site is named after my daddy, I am still a daddy‘s girl. The land originated before Sequoyah. who created the Cherokee syllabary. Sitting in the middle of an 850 acre nature preserve, you will have plenty of privacy to enjoy a getaway in the woods without being disturbed by other campers. This site is relatively flat and easy to access on the edge of a field along the tree line of the forest. You may notice old stone chimneys standing throughout the woods where cabins once stood, back when Lake Frances was a resort area in the 1920s. On this camp site, we have a Micro Cabin that is wired for a generator (not provided) that sleeps 2, or bring your own tent and enjoy the view of the stars. We have several private campsites sprinkled throughout the forest reserve for you to stay at as you enjoy the Illinois River, hike, or bike the trails. The mountain bike trails run very close to this site and the White Water Park is about 2 miles down the gravel road. The trailhead for the paved bike trail is around the corner from this campsite and goes all the way down to WOKA. There is an off road bike trail located right next to the field by this campsite along with several other trails. There are many more miles of additional mountain bike trails in town and on the north side of Siloam.
WOKA has 8 low-hazard whitewater features, seasonal rentals of kayaks, rafts, paddle boards and actual surf boards, and concessions, with shaded viewing. Changing facilities and restrooms are on-site at WOKA.
The Siloam Springs Kayak Park is located up river on Fisher Ford Rd, and has access for swimming and tubing. If you enjoy riding dirt bikes or quads, there is the family friendly Off-road race track, Gas MX, directly across the highway from Woka. We also have dirt track racing at Arrowhead Speedway nearby in West Siloam Springs, West of the Casino.

With 60 acres for your enjoyment and gated entrance, you won’t see anyone else during your whole stay! 15 min from I-49 with Walmarts and gas stations even nearer keeps you close to town. You can choose from multiple campsites, but we will not book anyone else during your stay.
Camp right next to the Illinois River under giant oaks, ash trees, and sycamores with a waterfall behind you and the river in front. Or move up the hill and enjoy the 10 mile view (when leaves are dropped) while watching the sunset. Seriously, it’s the best view west of Fayetteville. The deep shade of the campsite with the breeze coming over river keeps the space surprisingly cool even in extreme heat. Feeling fun? Camp in the old dirt mine with 10’ walls around you shaded by a massive pine growing in the center and oaks around the perimeter.
Hiking trails have been cut for you to enjoy the property. Make sure to check out “Mini Hawksbill Crag”- a rocky outcropping hanging off the cliff side. Another fun trail leads you up a creek bed with multiple small waterfalls.
A couple canoes and kayaks are available to float the river if you desire as an add on. You can go upstream easily in normal water flow!
If you’re looking for fun family time with your kids, I will do whatever I can to help you during your stay to make lasting memories. We’re big believers in families enjoying the outdoors together!
A truck can be driven to riverside campsite when dry or there is a 100 yard walk from a small parking area. More vehicles can be parked on top of hill which is 5 minute walk.
There is a picnic table and fire pit at the riverside campsite. Bald Eagles are seen most days in the winter. Birders will also appreciate the feeder in the campsite.
Fishing poles are available as an add on. You can bring your own too! Catch small mouth, large mouth, bream, crappie, catfish, gar, carp/buffalo and even walleye, but you’re competing with the neighborhood beaver so be on the lookout for him! Please release small mouth bass besides a legal keeper is 14" (6-7 year old fish!) and limit of 2.
Rear wheeled drive vehicles should park at the parking area by old stable
Absolutely no hunting wildlife or foraging mushrooms without prior approval.

I camped here earlier this year at Campsite 3 with a tent, but decided to try Campsite 2 this time. Both are great. The portapotties were very clean. We brought our pop up camper and didn't have any issues backing it up into the site. The site is nice and level, so would be good for small RVs or tent camping. Very spacious, wooded, and quiet. Candice was very responsive, too. The whole experience with her and her sites has been amazing. Will camp here again, for sure!

This was my third stay here, and it’s still one of my favorite Hipcamps. Oddvar is incredibly responsible and even cleaned up the entry road before I arrived, which I really appreciated. As my previous visit, the campsite is peaceful, very private, and surrounded by beautiful trees and wide, flat fields. It’s a perfect place to relax for sure.

Nice quiet place to get away. Kids and I enjoyed the stay, trail down to the river spot is a nice addition in my opinion. Tight in some areas but I was able to get my full size duramax no problem definitely would recommend a 4x4. Had a nice breeze all 3 days which is nice in June weather.

Weekend Trip to Barker Gap
Clean, clean, clean! Such a nice property. The hosts were very accommodating. They reccomened places of interest in the area. And even gave us a small history lesson of the area. The cabin was so well kitted out! Games for kids and adults, too. Lots of extras! They plan on adding a dish washing station and a camp store.

Tyler is an amazing host, great communication. This site is a gem, very private, lots to do. I loved bringing my family and friends on this trip. It's such a great spot for kids or even your pets to learn about camping and how to fish, kayak or canoe especially for little ones. It's also great for just couples. Floating on the Illinois is always so peaceful and beautiful, very calm, easy to float. Thank you so much, we are definitely coming out again!

The only people who do a good job and care are the park rangers they do there job and care the host needs to be fired period he’s a free loader and does not do his job period

Every one there a 14 day stay limit the host is very mean and does not do his job no toilet paper bathrooms are nasty , and he will not help you, second if you have special needs kids he is very mean to them he needs to be fired and they need a new host , he’s lazy and does nothing he spend 98percent of his time in his place and he’s getting free space and power on tax payer money I wish they fire him ASAP

Standing Rock is now designated as Access Only Area; camping is prohibited. A rundown boatramp still exists, and the picnic tables are unsafe.
No water, no refuse, no restrooms, and no electricity.
Also, any hiking trails are overgrown just like the park.

Tenkiller is a great place to take your canoe/kayak/paddle board. Just watch out for motorboats! There are fantastic restaurants all around the lake that you can just drive/row your boat up to. If you happen to be there near the 4th of July they do a huge fireworks show in the middle of the lake.
