The campsite was cozy and clean and convenient for me to get to. The host was very responsive to my questions and even though it was raining, I did get to take a dip in the swimming hole!

We loved our stay on Matt's land! It was a private, quiet, cozy spot in the woods with a lovely little fire pit and picnic table. Matt is a wonderful host!

It was a quiet and private spot, just what I was looking for. River down the road was easy to find. Had a chance to cool off in the river in a sunny hot summer day, and enjoy nature!

We enjoyed our stay and were glad to see a picnic table and a fire pit there. The location is beautiful. We found the directions not specific enough and texted the host. He took a while to respond but told us to look for a sign, and it was easy to find from there. Thanks!

Potty was very clean. A bit of a tight fit if you have a bigger vehicle (we have a Tacoma double cab and had to be careful). Saw a black bear on the road by the potty one morning. Scared my wife a little but it went towards the main road and didn't return. We had the private camping trip that we were expecting and will return.

We had a great time camping with our toddler and two dogs! Site 2 is a secluded spot, so much nicer than a crowded traditional campground. This was a perfect quick escape. We will be back :)

We had a really nice time time overall. We loved all the space, the privacy, and the short walk to the steam. We didn't know where the swimming hole was. Here are a few ideas for improvements for site 1. Where the car pulls in, remove or mark the stump so it doesn't hit the bottom of the cars. Removing a few birches leaning into the site and over the road would make the site safer for people and vehicles. A grate with the fireplace would be nice for cooking. Finally, a bit of leveling of the earth at the tent sites would make sleeping more comfortable.

Lots of space and friendly host that will help if needed. Seems close to the road, but very quiet and peaceful. Close to public beaches, shops, and gas stations for last minute supply runs. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

Had a wonderful night, campsite was clean with plenty of brush around for burning, host stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Was a little closer to the road than I expected but with only 1 site beyond there was no traffic, porta potty was exceptionally clean, besides the fireworks show the town must have been having the campsite was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again. If you want the most secluded privacy book site 2 😊

Private and secluded- just as described. Kayaking in Sokokis Lake near by was a nice bonus. Recommended if you want off the grid. Zero cell service which was fine by us. Thanks Michael

Nice and quiet. We were in site 1. It sits closer to the road but no one really uses the road so that’s good. Site 2 is more secluded. Michael’s brother checked on us. Nice smaller open campsite. Nice picnic table and rock fire pit. Lots of trees to hang a hammock.

I had an amazing experience camping at this location. It was super relaxing and calming. I had plenty of space to setup the tents and the BBQ stand. There was close by lake, it was blessing to the sight.

Cute hipcamp but definitely feels like it’s very new. The brook is super swampy, not ideal for the dogs! Also the mosquitoes were aggressive! But it was super quiet. Zero cars went by on the road, it felt safe.
There is a trailer on the property, I’m assuming it belongs to the host. There is also a small shooting range area by the trailer, and we were glad no one was using it because one of our dogs is scared of firearms.
The forest here is very beautiful though! I’m sure you get to see lots of wildlife when you don’t have dogs with you.
