Mike & Maggie bought this beautiful property 40 years ago. Their house, The Cracker Shack, is 100 plus years old and is the second generation home of the Gainer family who settled the Econfina area in the 1820's. It's made of heart pine and the fireplace was carved from the limestone in Econfina Creek.

Maggie's Musical Farm is located in the beautiful Econfina area of Bay County Florida. Our "Cracker Shack" is the second generation home of the Gainer Family, founders of Bay County, Florida and was built circa 1890. We have a beautiful stage and audience viewing structure called a Hotangle. Econfina Creek recreation area is less than a mile from the Farm where they offer free kayaking, canoeing, swimming, picnicking and hiking in thousands of woodland acres maintained by Northwest Florida Water Management. Reservations for canoe/kayaks can be made at Econfina Creek Canoe Livery . We are surrounded by many wooded acres and very few visible houses. Our "camping" area is dedicated with a campfire circle and privacy fencing. We offer 2 outdoor showers and 2 porta potties, at the moment, with plans for a permanent toilet facility. We also host musical events Sunday afternoons November through March, with some of the best touring Americana Singer/Songwriters in the country today. Come visit Maggie's Musical Farm and leave with a song in your heart.

My friend and I are locals to the area and we were going through a hurricane and we’re without power so we just decided to go camping. We chose Maggie‘s musical farm. The owners were fabulous. The area is fabulous. The only thing that I regret is that they have music on stage out there. They are both writers and producers. He is an author of five books they’ve been together for 53 years and the only thing I regret is that I did not get to see one of the concerts that would’ve been very enjoyable to me other than that it was absolutely perfect.! so glad I got to meet these people. I will definitely be back.
