Open flat land with beautiful views of the Royal Gorge mountains and right on the front range. 1 1/2 miles off highway 50 not far from the Arkansas River. Our ranch is a safe and quiet camping site with incredible starry night skies. If you are traveling with horses we have several corrals for you to rest your horses as well as a RV power hook up. Sorry no waste dump. We have a water spigot with cold delicious water and an outlet to charge your phones. It was amazing. Carl was really helpful and the location is great with Zonkey and horses. I would love to visit again. There’s Canon city within 17 mins and you can get pretty much everything.

Great getaway spot to camp! Carl and his wife are very welcoming and all of their animals are too! We got to feed the horses and animals which was a fun treat. Great stargazing too. Would recommend!

I completely enjoyed my stay here! The hosts were amazingly friendly and accommodating. The place is a peaceful oasis surrounded by mountains and is inhabited by beautiful horses, cows, chickens, donkeys and a zonkey!! I wholeheartedly recommend a stay here, you will not regret it!

This was one of my favorite Hipcamps in Colorado! The views are incredible, with mountains all around. The host was very kind and welcoming, even making me a breakfast sandwich in the morning. My favorite part was the animals. There are cows, chickens, a friendly burro, several horses, and even a zonkey (yes, zebra + donkey!) - something I definitely haven't seen anywhere else. They came right up to my campsite, and were so fun to watch and to pet. In the morning, Carl showed me how he feeds the animals - a super fun experience! I definitely recommend this campsite to anyone traveling through this area.
