This hidden retreat at the top of Topanga hill provides a private sanctuary under the oak trees. The off grid property has 3 cabins by an artesian spring and a hiking trail. Your 12'x24' cabin has a large out door deck, kitchen and separate bathroom. A 2nd bathtub and hot water shower are yours on the deck.Hidden in an oak forest at the top of the hill is the 12'x24' modern cabin. A large wrap around deck hosts a seating area and private bath tub shower and full kitchen. Sit under the majestic Grandmother Oak surrounded by nature. The property is shared by 2 other residents. We are off grid with only solar power and generator back up. Running tap water is plentiful including a creek from the artesian spring. Please do not wander close to neighbors cabins. There is one dog on property so if you bring one make sure to have it on leash at all times outside. Most of the products you might need are available including sheets, towels, shampoo etc. The queen size bed sleeps 2 plus a bedroll option as well as the outdoor couch. A flush toilet and second shower is in an adjacent bathroom. Topanga beach is 10 minutes away, Santa Monica 20 and the Valley, with all services about a 15 minute drive. The town of Topanga hosts many boutique shops, a market and the Theateicum Botanicum play house. We are at the Muesch Trailhead that stretches for miles in the mountains above Los Angeles.

Oak Tree House

This was such a beautiful woodsy location to stay in—the huge deck under the oak tree was stunning, the room itself felt cozy and tasteful. The outdoor shower setup can’t be beat—what’s better than a hot shower underneath the canopy of an oak tree? The location is amazing, super close to local Topanga attractions like cafe on 27 and the Will Geer Theatre, a short ride to the beach one way, and a short ride to amenities in the valley the other direction. We would absolutely come back!
