Even though Deep Creek has never had any known cases of amoeba outbreaks, be advised that the warm waters around hot springs can carry a sometimes fatal amoeba. *Although children are permitted at most sites on the property (children are not permitted at the cabin or spring pool sites), we do not recommend bringing them due to occasional nudity that may be seen in the area and the degree of difficulty for the hike. The Deep Creek Hot Springs Campground is part of the historic Bowen Ranch property that was homesteaded in 1924 and has been the camping and parking area for the Deep Creek Hot Springs for nearly a century. Nestled in the mountains of the high desert, we invite you to come stay in a peaceful serene setting, where beautiful natural desert scenery and mountain views surround you. This property is the perfect place to escape the city and immerse yourself in nature., with the Deep Creek Hot Springs just a 40 minute hike away, but well worth the effort! And there's so much more natural beauty to see as you explore miles of hiking and OHV trails nearby and right on the property. Our tents can accommodate about 4 guests inside, but can accommodate larger groups of 10 or more if they want to set up additional tents in the large surrounding yard, and pay regular camping rates. A shared bathroom with flushing toilets is nearby, as well as instant hot water showers available in 2 locations. Walking distance from the trailhead to the hot springs. The tent comes with a deluxe 22" tall queen-size air mattress that has a clean cover sheet with and a thin blanket placed underneath to insulate. Bedding, pillows, linens and blankets are available in a locker in the tent and upon request, however, we recommend that you bring your own bedding that you will be comfortable sleeping in 30-50*F nights in. Winter temps range from 25*F to 40* F, so we recommend bringing extra blankets in Winter and early Spring, as well as hand warmer packs and hot water bottles to put in your sleeping bag! An indoor propane heater is provided in the tent, and comes with 1 small canister of propane. A canister lasts about 3 hours, additional propane available on site for $6/canister or bring your own. There is a mini-split A/C heater unit in the tent that requires electricity, and this off-the-grid tent includes 4 hours of -generated electricity with each rental day to run the heater, inside lighting, and outlet plugs to charge electronics. Additional generator hours available for the cost of fuel, $6-$7/hour. A quiet 500 watt battery powered generator is available as an alternative to the diesel fueled generator that can be used for lighting and powering up electronics if heating or air conditioning is not needed. A charging station for phones/electronics is available at the office, as well as emergency wi-fi. A gas BBQ (fuel included) and a 2-burner camp stove are provided for cooking outside at each tent, along with paper towels, disposable plates and plastic utensils. Cooking utensils, fire pit grills for briquettes, pots and pans are readily available upon request . The cold creek water in the Deep Creek canyon flows all year around, and the 6 creek-side hot spring pools are always full and consistently hot all year around, ranging in temperatures between 90F-108F. The hike to the Deep Creek Hot Springs is not an easy hike and one needs to be prepared when hiking in remote areas such as Deep Creek, where rescues can only be done by air. this hike can be fairly difficult, especially in warm weather and during the shorter colder days in Winter. In order to be prepared with the correct gear to make this hike and know the USFS rules that apply to the area, please educate yourself before coming by visiting the USFS website page for the Deep Creek area. Deep Creek is a day-use only area and does not permit glass or fires. Know before you go! *Although children are permitted to be on the property, we do not recommend bringing them due to occasional nudity that may be seen in the area and the degree of difficulty of the hike. Come stay in this brand new tiny cabin situated in the mountains of the high desert, within walking distance of the Deep Creek Hot Springs. This secluded cabin has a private loft on the 3rd level with 2 comfy queen beds. The mid-level sports a cozy kitchen and living room area combo, with a 13' high wrap around deck that was built on beams that were milled from a solid single pinyon tree that died on the property and can be viewed from the lowest level of the cabin in the shaded stone base. Large yard with a fire pit, a gas BBQ grill, outdoor seating and plenty of space for a group of friends to set up camp at this unique site in the mountains of the Mojave Desert that has its very own private pool made of natural stone. The refreshing pool sits beside a pergola shade structure and patio area with plenty of privacy. Bathroom and shower nearby and shared with only 1 other campsite. Spa, sauna and ziplines available to ride on property. *Children are not permitted at this site due to the pools and 1930's era construction and safety. Although children are permitted on the property, we do not recommend bringing them due to the occasional nudity and difficulty of the hike.

This 16'x24' tent can accommodate about 6-8 guests inside, but can accommodate larger groups up to 15 people if they want to set up additional tents or park an RV or trailer in the large surrounding yard. Any extra guests can pay regular camping rates upon arrival. The tent comes with 2 deluxe 22" tall queen-size air mattresses and 2 full size cots. Bedding, pillows, linens and blankets are available in a locker in the tent and extra cots/bedding available upon request, however, we recommend that you bring your own bedding that you will be comfortable sleeping in. Located far from the city lights on a 160 acre homestead Ranch, nature abounds on this property where the Mojave desert meets the San Bernardino mountains. A beautiful riparian area and natural spring located on the property make this place a true oasis in the desert, and combined with it's very own private hot spring pools, paradise is in the making. Next to the spring pool is a small rustic "cave cabin" that was built into the rocky hillside, with seating areas carved into the rock, The cave cabin makes a great dressing room, hang-out room, or retreat from the elements, as it can be heated up with it's rustic woodstove or just left cool and shady to escape from the sun. Not much room to sleep in the cave, but a hammock and platform helps make it happen for at least 2 people! Others can sleep in a 10x10 canvas tent set up at the back of the site. Also provided is plenty of outdoor tables and chairs on the patio decks, a fire pit(firewood is for sale on site for $10) , a gas BBQ (propane included), an outdoor shower, private bathroom building with indoor shower and flushing toilets. Private parking area located 200 feet away from site, and can accommodate 12-15 cars, rvs, trailers, etc

Deep Creek Hot Springs Campsite

The site was one of the coolest sites I’ve camped at in a long time. Lots of privacy and space between campers. We got all sorts of visitors from horses to pigs. Clean bathrooms and showers. The host were super friendly. I will definitely come back. The only drawback was the drive up was a little confusing. But the directions the host gave on point.

this is my second time camping and celebrating my birthday at the private oasis and my friends and I love this campground. the trailhead is steps away from camp and the amenities are so perfect for a large group. the sun decks, private heated pool, the big back tent, kitchen, showers & bathroom. we will be back!

Bowen Ranch was a great place to camp at. HOT SHOWERS restrooms were clean. The staff running the sites very helpful.The glamping tents look pretty cool might have to check them out next time..Nice hike down to the hot springs it is a bit difficult on the way back up. Pack plenty of water. Just a reminder it is clothing optional certain areas at the Ranch and at the hot springs.

Deep Creek Hot Springs Campsite

Beautiful space, hilly and mostly undeveloped land with a gorgeous natural hot spring and campsites. It is a relatively hilly and bumpy ride up to the camp site - about 6 miles of dirt roads. My Subaru Outback 4wd was just fine, but pulling my camper trailer it was a bit difficult of a climb at times. I’d highly recommend anyone taking a similar trip to do so at day-time as night time can feel rather precarious. All in all, wonderful area to stay and camp.

Hot Spring Oasis Site with Caveroom

It’s a very beautifull getaway the down fall is the hot springs water is heated from a heater on site we did not get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked we woke up to the water cold and nobody around to come check in on us … we proceeded to go up the dirt road to find the host to get the water Warmed back up so we could utilize it prior to check out … we found the host arguing horribly and very rudely about one of our campers that decided to not stay do to unfortunate circumstances … we finally got to speak to hOST and notified them of the situation of the water not being warm and how we would like it fixed so we could continue to enjoy our stay …. We waited all the way till check out time and still nobody came to check in on us or fix the water situation we called the host multiple times and NO LUCK WE DID NOT get to enjoy our stay due to the fact we booked this for the fact it had a PRIVATE hot springs POOL NO FOLLOW UP FROM HOST AT ALL … we where not up to hiking that’s why we booked this convenient location for $472 this was not the vacay I was looking forward to so please be mindful prior to booking this location

Great spot just northeast of LA! Lots of campsites available. We got T-mobile 5G at the campsite. Sinks, water, and toilet were all in working condition. Showers did not work. Definitely planning to go again.

Quiet and beautiful place, the perfect get away, and the hot springs was a trip to never forget, there was quite a bit more people there than we thought but all of them were amazing to talk to and made the trip a whole lot better tbh, most of them are backpackers on the pct trail this time of year (April).

I had a great time at Deep Creek Camp. The directions to the camp are exactly as described, so follow them closely. The host I met, Bob, was friendly and helpful. The camp sites had almost no litter. Plenty of picnic tables and no crowds, though it was a weeknight. It’s no more than 5 minute drive to the DC trailhead. Great place to see the stars at night. Lots of squirrels and other rodents around to steal your food. Keep an eye on it.

Deep Creek Hot Springs Campsite

This property is super unique and interesting. They allow early arrival and late departure. We came early so we could eat lunch at our campsite before heading off on the hike to the hot springs. It is a tough hike but totally worth it. If you follow the directions to get there you will find it no problem: however they are not exact. I do think it would be helpful for the property owner to actually drive and note and picture the landmarks they reference. For example it may say (.6 miles) but actually be 1 mile. There was a note that said a sign would be brown and it was white…etc. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable making the drive for the first time in our big RV in the dark or rain. We did not meet Jess but her staff member was super friendly and helpful. He remembered all the campers by name. The rec tent was a cool place to hang out with some unique surprises. It is not for the prudes or children. We would come back here if we find ourselves in California again. Thanks for sharing your property.

Deep Creek Hot Springs Campsite

I had a blast out here! The campsites felt spaced out well, perfect combination of privacy while still feeling secure sleeping in proximity to other folks. Everybody I met here, especially those running the camp, made me feel welcome and cared for. They cultivated a space for you to enjoy and be able to really unwind. Not to mention having access to showers and running water my whole time there… just an awesome place. Owners also provided easy directions to reach the hot springs, which are nothing short of a dream! I’ll be coming back forsure… Thank you guys so much <3

Not at all what I expected from the photos... which was actually nice because it made it a great surprise! We had a great time and it was definitely a unique camping experience. Not really a place to bring kids if you want to enjoy the rec center on site (pool table, nude jacuzzi, sauna, and other adult surprises) and deep creek is also nude friendly. But otherwise, was a fun and interesting experience for our stay. The camp site was cool and the stars were out in full force.

Welp, that was interesting… Campers beware, not as advertised. This listing looks fantastic, but the reality is way more stark and survivalist. After a long day of traveling we were excited to hang at the cold pools and settle in. Not only is getting there harrowing, but once we finally did we were dismayed to find out the site wasn’t even finished. It’s advertised for a 33’ RV. No freaking way! No sites are level and the whole scene is super sketchy. The only positive was the hike to the hot springs, but you can do that without staying there. Do not pay $150 for this!

Overall we had a nice expierence. The dome tent was huge, we had a stove inside to make food, just know that the electricity was only in from 7pm to midnight, so it’ll be dark and cold in the tent otherwise, luckily we brought a bunch of camping lights! I recommend bringing extra blankets tho, as we did, because the blankets they gave us were a little musty, but the sheets were clean and the bed was superrrr comfortable! We made a fire the first night, the night sky was beautiful. There was a picknick table but I was happy we brought beach chairs to sit close to the fire. There were two bathrooms about 30sec walk from the tent, there were no showers tho, so that why I’d give a lower rating. There is always someone on site, Bob, he’s super helpful and nice, goes the extra mile! When the generator went out around 8pm one night the phone numbers we called didn’t answer, but we drove down to Bobs trailer and he fixed it right away. There is also a back trail from the camp site from where you can reach the deep creek trail, very cool experience and a nice hike, many other trails around too.

So first off let's just say it's for sure a sex camp hahah not very sanitized or clean at all no showers only get to use a generator for 4 hours and you're charged by the hour to have power definitely do not follow through with the things they advertise but all in all it was a great hike

The spots were very big which was awesome. You do have to walk a little bit to get to water and toilets but not a big deal. The rec tent is definitely worth a visit. Unforgettable. The hike was harder than I expected. We visited in February right after a rain. When we got the bottom we had to cross the spring and the water was high and FREEZING. Thankfully we made it across and were able to enjoy the hot pools. It took me 2 hours to go down and and 2 hours back. We took lots of breaks. I am so sore today though! I would do it again.

Glamping Heaven!

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing time staying in a Glamping tent! Upon arriving we were welcomed by beautiful views and our helpful & wonderful hosts; Jess and Brent! The Glamping tent was even better than we had expected. It was clean, warm and so spacious! Brent was amazing at checking in and making sure we had everything we needed! In the evening there is a rec tent/center that has a pool table, a dry sauna, a shower and some other fun activities 😊 It was close to the trail head to the hot springs, which were incredible! I would definitely recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our stay on Jess’s land. There was a good amount of space between the campgrounds so privacy wasn’t an issue despite us not being surrounded by shrubs like most others. The hosts were super nice and responsive. We had contact to both and they answered questions over text and phone call. They did warn us of takeovers by the off-roading vehicles on the dirt road there, so it is probably best to arrive in the daytime. We bought their firewood which was a good amount (2-3 nights), and with which they give you a paper bag. We had to drive to the water spigots but the access was great. The toilet was good and had toilet paper, we noticed the host checking to make sure it was stocked one night. We hiked the springs trail from the site, which was a little confusing at first because you have to cross a couple fences we weren’t sure about, but usually there was clues. Our 2 large dogs also enjoyed the site as they had room to run around and play. Though it was unfortunate that they aren’t allowed in the hot springs. Also the hosts’ horses were cute and friendly.

This place wasn’t hard timo navigate to as the directions provided were straightforward. The people working at the camp were very friendly, and they even have firewood for purchase. The views here from morning to night were great and the hike to the hot springs is worth the distance travelled!

Overall, great experience! However, during our stay the shower heads and hand wash faucets were not working (flushing toilets worked) which was not what we expected.

Deep Creek Hot Springs Campsite

Beautiful place, great directions. The natural hot springs are absolutely gorgeous!!! Love this special place. My only complaint is that the potable water that’s included with the juniper springs camping area is way over by the clamping tents, too far to walk just to wash dishes or brunch your teeth. I loved seeing the pig and the dogs wandering around, the firewood they sell there is great, and I’ll definitely come back!

Hot Spring Glamping Tent

The hospitality of all three gentlemen from arriving late at night at 10, to the new shift guy coming at midnight and the morning guy convincing us to hike the springs, even though my group opted not too. The morning guy made the trip! He was so kind and gave my family carrots to feed the horse and pig. It was great to see the pets while walking up to the tower.

Deep Creek Hot Springs Campsite

When my boyfriend and I pulled up, Brent had just returned from rescuing someone who had broken their ankle down at the hot springs. This was a clear indication to us that one, Brent was a nice enough person to go and rescue someone and two, the hot springs are no joke. I will speak to the first bit. When we arrived, Brent was extremely helpful and kind. He advised us to hold off on going to the springs upon our arrival because it was very crowded, telling us that we should wake up early and go the next day. We are so happy we listened, but more on that later. Finding the campsite is very easy, and if you follow the directions as written out by the property owners, you will be just fine! It is cheaper if you pay in person just fyi. We stayed on the hipcamp side which was near the 'glamping' and it was nice. Sites are close so you will hear your neighbors, so if you prefer solitude, maybe go elsewhere because no one is patrolling for noise or curfew, except the horses which are sweet and will let you pet them! But be smart. Lots of Juniper to camp under for shade when it's hot as hell, so that was nice as well. We didn't use toilets/shower so no comment there. As far as the hot springs go just know this, it is a very challenging hike back! I do not recommend traveling with a cooler or heavy gear. Brent will tell you, it's roughly 40 min down and 1hr 20 min back because you're stopping constantly to rest. I recommend going early in the AM and hiking back as the sun sets.

New Spring Pool Site

Stayed at the camp with the private cold pool. Lovely setting all by itself without neighbors. Set the tent up under the wood awning after moving the patio table. Great star gazing. Very nice bathroom with shower, nearby. Super nice & helpful host greats you when you arrive. You’ll get to meet a friendly pig and a couple of horses.

New Spring Pool Site

Very private and very well respected. The dipping pool was cool and very refreshing. There is wildlife and should be noted that all things come to water. If you are not a nature lover this may not be the place for you. I was greeted by the host and was given a tour of the private areas. It is a beautiful area and I can’t wait to camp here again.
