Gosia and her partner were incredible hosts! Relaxing environment, awesome local honey, fresh rhubarb, beautiful grounds to walk and firewood waiting for us. We had so much fun!

Loved the farm, it was beautiful with the lake and the surrounding fall leaves! Hosts were very welcoming and also respective of our space. Would recommend!

We came in a bit late, during a heavy rain. Mike and Gosia probably weren't really expecting us at that point. However, we were happily greeted by them, and the wonderful goddess dog, Gaia. They helped us out with some items we were lacking and brought us firewood once the rain calmed down. The property is beautiful, perfect escape from the city. We didn't want to leave (and they let us linger a bit) we'll definitely be back. Between the hosts, the property, the privacy, and of course Gaia, this is a place we almost want to keep it as a secret. Also, we stocked up on their farm fresh jams, eggs, sauces, honey and we'd encourage you to do the same. We have a full week of dinners planned that we can't wait for. If you go, you'll know.

What an awesome piece of land within an hour of the city. So peaceful and so serene. Weather was perfect and the hosts were super accommodating! Will be back next time with the entire family! Thank you for an amazing escape from the city!

The view is amazing! The hosts are so nice and welcoming. They let us borrow a jug cause we forgot ours. And we tried their hot sauce it was the best! Try it.

My husband and I and friends absolutely enjoyed camping there. The space was clean and relaxing. Gosha and Mike were great host. Definitely recommend. Will be coming back soon.

This campsite is absolutely beautiful. Book it and find yourself tucked away on a lakefront blueberry farm. It has all of the necessary amenities including fire rings, tables, and a porto bathroom. The host was super kind and offered farm fresh eggs and blueberry jam for purchase which of course I bought. Dog friendly!

Looking for a Chateau
Adorable farm. Great hosts. Beautiful views. What more can I say? The stay was full of grace and kindness which is all I need. So grateful to have found this spot so close to the city and the Indiana Dunes NP. It was the perfect way to split the drive and get a great campsite, especially considering the alternatives with horrible reviews. No biting bugs. Great hosts.

We had a blast at our spot. Pulling up and unloading was easy, the willows and pond were gorgeous, plus the camping spot was level for tenting.
The owners were extremely nice and we loved chatting with them.
WHATEVER YOU DO, you HAVE to check out their goodies! We picked up some fermented pepper salt, ramps (out of this world), pear honey, hot sauce, garlic, and jam. The treats alone where worth the stop 😍

Lodged here to car camp before a Chicago race. The area reminds of Eden, accept there’s a few campers around which didn’t take a way from my experience at all. There’s a beautiful pond with a dock, a garden with fresh fruit, and more. I had my own space and felt safe. Thank you Gosia for hosting me.

This little farm is adorable! I loved the bee hives and the pond. It wasn't the most private - the other camp spot was maybe 30 feet away, well within view - but it was a beautiful spot

We stayed overnight in our small camper in the “Looking for a Chateau” camp spot. It was convenient and quiet and just what we needed as we were just looking for a place to stay over as we continued on our way. We took a quick walk around the property when we first arrived and the other campsites by the pond looked quite lovely!

Willowthorne was a beautiful little oasis just outside of the city. We stayed here on our way to Chicago. Gosia welcomed my husband and I with our two dogs, got us settled with firewood, and gave us some great suggestions for visiting Chicago the next day. We spent the evening by the fire watching fireflies over the pond and the moon rising over the willow trees. We had a rooftop camper, and there was a good-sized wood chip patch for us to park and set up on. The blueberry bushes and gardens were gorgeous, and there is clearly so much labor and love that Gosia and her partner have put into the place. We highly recommend this stop as respite from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding city and highways.

We had a great time at this campsite. Awesome pond to catch fish in right outside our campsite. Very clean and felt secluded. Owner was very attentive and helped us with multiple things during our stay!

Very nice spot for an afternoon. We were unable to stay the 3 nights due to freak hurricane warnings and lightning at night followed by flooding rain. But the time we did spend was peaceful. The only odd part was having random strangers walking around and behind the camp spot to pick berries. So it was lacking the privacy aspect. The owners were nice and welcoming. I do wish there was a more lenient refund policy. 3 days before the weather showed heat and a drizzle at night. But the day of it was hurricanes and severe thunderstorms... so we couldnt refund it since it has to be 3 days in advance. $150 for lunch while being watched by wandering strangers wasnt the ideal experience. May try again in the future weather pending of course lol.
