Mountainside Waterfall Retreat in Pennsylvania
Host Adam Freedgood says:
Effortless and secluded camping on 12 magical wooded acres near the Upper Delaware River! Canvas tent site is perched in a secluded, private, and lush forested grove alongside a dramatic waterfall creek with countless bluestone ledges and knee-deep pools to explore. Just show up and relax. Enjoy a mile of trails on-site and tons of natural wonders to explore locally. Ask about river tubing, canoe/kayak rentals, guided fly fishing, and river shuttle. Comfort amenities include: outdoor shower with hot water, a clean and odor-free outhouse toilet, sink, drinking water, firewood, locking trash bins, and more.
Less than five minute walk from the parking area (2-3 minutes on uphill sections, and 2 minutes on flat trail).
We're open Seasonally: Every weekend July/Aug and on select weekends Sept/Oct and May/June.
Amazing local activities:
- Delaware River (tubing, boating, fly fishing, swimming) just 5 miles down the road. Nearest access points are Lordville and Buckingham
- Bethel Woods Center for Performing Arts (20 miles)
- Equinunk General Store stocked with provisions and Saturday smoked BBQ cookouts (3 miles)
- Hike and explore local waterfalls and swimming holes (ask us for tips!)
- Quaint river towns - Callicoon, Narrowsburg, Hancock, Honesdale (8-15 miles)
- Several PA fish and game commission public access lakes for fishing and boating within 10 miles; +10,000 acres of State Game Lands
