Nice quiet spot to park up and relax with nobody but the sheep, roos and birds. Graham was very welcoming, even gave us some delicious farm fresh eggs. He is super responsive and met us on the main road to guide us in and went out of his way to make sure there was no low hanging branches for our caravan. Highly recommend a stay here. Graham was very welcoming & helpful. We received some delicious farm eggs on arrival which was a lovely surprise. Very convenient to Mudgee & many of the attractions Mudgee region has to offer. We were the only caravaners, but there is plenty of room to share on the property.

We had a wonderful stay at Van in the Vines. The location is absolutely picturesque, set right amongst the vines, making it a truly peaceful and scenic spot to unwind. We were also fortunate to be there on a Friday night and enjoy their delicious wood-fired pizzas—such a great bonus! The site is central and convenient for exploring the area, yet still feels private and relaxing. We would definitely stay again

Really beautiful property with both wildlife and farm animals. The caretakers were lovely and very helpful and lots of options for activities. We did the canoeing which was on a small but very beautiful area of the river. The camping area is neat but not super private. Would be great for big groups of families as the sites are unmarked. Facilities were also really clean and well maintained.

Awesome spot to camp!! Beautiful ground, toilet and shower facilities were wonderful. The kids loved the roaming horses that would stroll by in the morning and arvo, and the river is nice and shallow so they could play in it all day long. Was a perfect stay for myself and two kids under 5. Thanks for having us!

Definitely would recommend staying at Grahams land, he offered different options for us to camp and showed us around. He met us at the turn off the main road and allowed us to follow him to the land making it super easy for us! Graham was super quick to reply! The scenery and views are amazing and the sunrise and sunset can be viewed perfectly over the mountains, would definitely love to visit again.

Beautiful location, peaceful during the week, very good facilities, and a very friendly owner; we would recommend it. Keep in mind that a lot of the river walks require crossing the river many times over slippery rocks. We set up a bit too far from the toilets but we didn’t want to get too close to the geese, I would recommend setting up closer if you can. Everything you need to know is communicated very well before arrival. The drive in is definitely doable in my all wheel drive but be prepared for lots of steep crests and blind corners. Would recommend and would come here again, preferably when it’s warmer.

Then property is set 600 metres back from a quiet rural road, accessed via a gravel driveway. It is nestled at the foot of Mount Knowles, and includes over 300 acres of bushland in addition to approx 30 acres of formal gardens and mown paddocks, one of which has a pretty dam. All areas have expansive rural views. We offer a basic bush site for self-contained campers and a fully-contained caravan. At Bushman's Camp we welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. You must have your own amenities. Campsites are accessible for 2WDs and we welcoming camping vehicles. You may need to level your vehicle for a comfortable night’s sleep. There are a few options for camping. The land is undulating with flat spots, with open grassy areas peppered with gum trees. Other parts are more heavily wooded with gums and natives. Our caravan comes complete with water, electricity, toilet, 2 double beds, dining area and kitchen. The caravan can sleep 4 guests. Next to the caravan there is room for a further tent, van, trailer or motorhome if desired, for a $35 flat fee. Please add extra guests when booking. Outside the caravan, there is a beautiful sandstone ringed fire pit, BBQ, covered picnic tables, chairs, lighting and some firewood available. You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels. Located approximately 40 mins from Bathurst the camp is the ideal location to enjoy the tranquility of the bush. 4WD access ONLY Suitable for off-road camper trailers, tents and swags. Natural bushland consisting of 80 acres with the Crudine River along the boundary. We are part of the Sofala gold rush history (from the 1850s), sit back and imagine gold miners and their families camped along the banks. There are two campsites, Camp Crudine Kitchen and Camp Crudine Riverside. When you make your booking whether for 2 people or a group of family and friends the chosen campsite is all yours for the length of your stay. If you need supplies Sofala is just 8 km away, drop in and explore the town. Hill End is 28 km which is another Historic town to explore. Camp Crudine is great for kids and adults alike to have a go at panning for gold or try out the metal detector. All findings must be returned to the host, lol. Campfires must comply with the local fire restrictions and guideline and must be contained in the fire pits provided. Bonfires are not permitted at any time. We recommend campers bring their own firewood as campers are requested to source only small amounts of firewood along the riverbank. Under no circumstances are trees to be cut down. Firewood is available at the Sofala General Store. Campers are required to bring everything they need and take all rubbish when leaving. Dogs are welcome but they must be supervised and under control at all times. The owner has livestock on the property which must be respected at all times.

In the early 1970’s Mr James, the owner of 'Biara', subdivided three 25 acre blocks across the road from the original homestead. The first block was sold to his nephew, the middle block was to be purchased by the Preston family and ‘The Gateway’ was purchased by a Mr Carveth. Unfortunately, the sale of the middle block fell through then, due to family illness, 'Biara' was sold and the family moved to Blackheath. After this move, and as thank you to his son, Mr James transferred the title of the middle of the three subdivided blocks to his only son, William. Back in the late 1960’s, early 1970’s, the area was vastly different than it is today. Travelling to school entailed a car trip to Hargraves then bus to Mudgee which would have been a 2 hour round trip! The area was far more isolated as there was no power and entailed an overland phone line, which had to be regularly repaired if residents wanted to be able to communicate with the outside world. The site allows mainly for camping and relaxing although there are numerous dirt roads to explore, Mudgee wineries close by and Burrendong Dam not far away (accessible via Hill End Road near Erudgere). Hargraves is also known for it's alluvial gold deposits and fossickers still go there regularly to check out Louisa Creek. There is 15km's of dirt road which needs to be traveled to reach the property. Dependent on weather, and if it has been graded recently, this road can be in varying states of repair. In heavy rain it may be difficult to get 2WD access via the public road due to the clay content in the road . Kangaroo, wallaby, owl species, kookaburra, echidna, snakes, various lizards, including shinglebacks, are often seen on these roads and the property.
