East Gallatin River Campsite

1. East Gallatin River Campsite

(22)
2mi from Bozeman · 3 sites
Nestled on 12 scenic acres of pristine riverfront property, this well-maintained field offers a peaceful and private camping experience along the East Gallatin River—renowned for its world-class fly fishing. The field is located near a road and railroad, yet a thoughtfully constructed berm ensures privacy and helps reduce noise. On the opposite side, a private forest creates a natural boundary and features a tranquil walking path that leads directly to the riverbank. Although the open field is spacious enough to accommodate up to five campsites, we are currently limiting access to just three sites to ensure a quiet, uncrowded experience for our guests. Multiple designated areas are available for campfires, allowing you to enjoy evenings by the fire under Montana’s big sky. Conveniently located just 2 miles from downtown Bozeman, the campsite offers easy access to restaurants, shops, and local attractions—while still feeling like a private escape into nature. Whether you're here to fish, relax, or explore the surrounding landscape, this riverside retreat provides the perfect base for your next outdoor adventure.

Bridger Vista Camp — Private Pastureland Escape with Mountain Views Welcome to your own private slice of Big Sky Country. Bridger Vista Camp offers a one-of-a-kind, single-site stay surrounded by sweeping pastureland, with grazing cows and framed by the dramatic ridgelines of the Bridger Mountains. With no other campers in sight, the space is entirely yours — wide open, peaceful, and beautifully simple. At the center of the site is a stamped concrete pad, perfect for meals, lounging, or watching the light dance across the peaks. A rustic wooden spool table adds a bit of character (and makes a great spot to set your morning coffee or evening beverage of choice). You’ll wake to birdsong, breathe in the clean Montana air, and end the day with unobstructed stargazing across a horizon that never seems to end. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or just looking to unplug, this is the kind of place that invites you to slow down and soak it all in. And while it may feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere, downtown Bozeman is just a 5–10 minute drive away — close enough for a quick coffee run or dinner out, but far enough that you’ll still sleep to the sound of crickets and wind through the grass. Oh — and you might meet Goober, our friendly four-legged camp inspector. She occasionally stops by to say hello (or see if snacks are involved). If she gets a little too enthusiastic about her hosting duties, feel free to shoot us a message. We promise she takes constructive criticism better than most humans. This is a dry, rustic site — no hookups or fancy amenities, just quiet land, mountain air, and a camp that feels like your own.

Nestled on 60 acres you'll find a private campground in a cottonwood grove just across a log bridge over Miner creek. Across the gravel driveway you'll find a second campground that is tucked back in a secluded cottonwood grove, and further down the driveway, you'll find the 3rd campsite. The campgrounds are 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman, 20 mins to Pine Creek Lodge and an hour to Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property. *All sites share an outhouse located in the parking area by the trail to camp #2. It is only onsite from mid-May to mid-Oct. #1: "Creekside Oasis" campsite has a picnic table, fire ring, a hammock, solar lighting, and a small portable charcoal grill. Although you can car camp at # 1, please note that the camper spot is just off the gravel driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located. #2: "Off the Beaten Path" campsite requires a short 1-2 minute walk on a tight, uneven path through the trees. It is a small campsite with a fire ring, 2 camp chairs, hammock, and solar lighting. Do NOT rent this tent site if you need to be close to your car. This site is not on the creek. Creek access is down a trail to the left off the parking area. #3: "Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite is a 1-2 minute walk from the parking spot on an uneven, tight trail through the trees. It has a fire ring, two camp chairs, solar lighting, hammock, and a small portable grill. Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready to explore and do not need to be close to your car. The creek is not right by the tent site like it is in campsite #1. There is a small break in the bushes that gives creek access. This site is bigger than #2. *NO Car camping is allowed at site 2 or 3. For all sites: * Quiet hours from 10pm-8am. *No parties. *We recommend you arrive before dark, although the trails are lit by solar lights even with headlamps it can be tricky to find your way thru the trees to camps 2 & 3. Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended for the trails. *We recommend storing your food in your vehicle overnight. *Bring your own firewood and charcoal.
