This newly renovated cozy cabin is semi dry with plenty of space for RVs and campers. It sits on just under an acre and right across from Prator Lake. The cabin is 12' x 20' with a full kitchen, bathroom and loft sleeping with a queen bed and two-fold out sleeping chairs downstairs. Water is limited to a 200-gallon holding tank. Cabin includes Wi-Fi and Roku TV and heat. Winter months offer ice fishing and snowmobiling, and summer months offer boating, fishing and swimming. Hiking trails and more lakes nearby. Plenty of wildlife watching too! There is plenty of room for RV parking and/or camping and room for a campfire - invite your friends to camp! You can run a 120 extension cord from your RV to the cabin for electricity. Right near big lake and great access for moose hunting. Sail & fun is a good boat launch to get in the water. Four-wheeling trails are abundant nearby. Easy access for the RV or motorhome. Firewood is usually on-site and available. Check for the local matsu burn status before having a fire. Mosquito spray is recommended depending on the season. Three Bears (similar to Costco) is right down the road. Easy access year-round. Please pack out what you pack in. Have a great stay!

Moose, bear, lynx, coyote, fox, rabbit, squirrel, beaver, otter, muskrat, owls, eagles, grouse all frequent the area. HUGE summer salmon runs starts with King Salmon in May-June, Then Reds, Pinks & Chum most of the summer and Silvers from July-September. Fishing is not allowed at the camp (No fishing first 1.5mile upstream, per Alaska Fishing regulations) however dip netting is opened by emergency order for residents approx one week a year in mid-late July. Dipnetting is also not allowed from property, per law, but is within short float/ drive/ walking distance. Close in driving distance from Point Mackenzie Recreation district, Big Lake Recreation District, Knik Lake District, and 20 mins from Downtown Wasilla, 1 hour from Anchorage.

Learn more about this land: Welcome to our Alaskan getaway! Come pitch a tent and enjoy the midnight sunsets and sunrises with a beautiful backdrop of the Alaskan sky. Our ideal location by the lake allows for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. We have seasonal gardens that you can pick fresh produce from - check with the host for seasonal vegetation. Feed the birds, get dirt under your fingernails, sleep in a tent, drive to the mountains (about an hour away!) and take a hike. . Enjoy Alaska, that's what this getaway is all about - we look forward to your stay! You cannot drive to the tent sites it’s park and walk but they aren’t far, 500ft at most. There’s no water on site but we can grab you a few gallons if you need. You will need to have contact with the host before coming as the neighborhood is gated!
